About the Role:
The Inventory Control Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of inventory management within the organization. This position is responsible for maintaining precise inventory records, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, and supporting production schedules to meet operational demands. The specialist will work closely with sales and production teams to manage sales orders and ensure timely fulfillment. By leveraging ERP systems and bar code technology, the role ensures seamless tracking and control of inventory levels in a fast-paced environment. Ultimately, this position contributes to minimizing stock discrepancies, optimizing inventory turnover, and supporting overall business performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in inventory control, shipping and receiving, or related roles.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and bar code technology.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher in supply chain management, logistics, or related field.
- Experience with production scheduling and sales order processing.
- Familiarity with advanced inventory management software.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze inventory data to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records through regular audits and cycle counts.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely and accurate movement of goods.
- Process and track sales orders, ensuring alignment with inventory availability and production schedules.
- Utilize ERP systems and bar code scanning technology to monitor inventory levels and update records.
- Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to support efficient workflow in a fast-paced environment.
Skills:
The required skills such as shipping and receiving, sales order management, and inventory control are essential for daily operations, ensuring that goods are accurately tracked and processed from receipt to delivery. Depth perception is important for safely handling physical inventory and verifying stock during audits.
