Job Title: Field Service Technician

Salary Range: $58-65,000 (or higher/negotiable based on experience)

Summary:
\n
The Field Service Technician will support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and replacement of network and technology infrastructure at customer locations. This position is ideal for a technically minded individual with experience in networking, data centers, telecommunications, structured cabling, or IT field services.
\n
\n
Responsibilities:
\n
• Install, rack, stack, mount, replace, and troubleshoot routers, switches, wireless access points, servers, and other network equipment.
\n
• Perform hands-on installation, maintenance, and break/fix support for data center and network infrastructure.
\n
• Assist with network equipment cutovers, migrations, and deployments.
\n
• Provide physical Smart Hands support to remote network engineers and technical teams.
\n
• Perform circuit extensions, structured cabling, cable pulling/termination, and connectivity troubleshooting.
\n
• Install and support telephony equipment, circuits, VoIP systems, and related hardware.
\n
• Support retail technology systems including POS, digital signage, and video surveillance equipment.
\n
• Conduct site surveys and audits to document equipment, cabling, power, and installation requirements.
\n
• Install and support LEO satellite and fixed wireless equipment, including antennas, cabling, and related hardware.
\n
• Use cable testers, hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete installations and troubleshoot connectivity.
\n
• Complete job documentation, photos, test results, ticket updates, and other required deliverables accurately and on time.
\n
• Maintain assigned vehicle, tools, equipment, and inventory.
\n
• Work independently at customer sites while coordinating with remote technical resources.
\n

Qualifications:
\n
• Experience in networking, IT field service, telecommunications, data centers, structured cabling, electronics, or a related technical field preferred.
\n
• Working knowledge of networking hardware and basic network topologies.
\n
• Familiarity with Cisco routers and switches and basic Cisco CLI is a plus.
\n
• Understanding of VoIP, PBX, or other telephony systems.
\n
• Experience installing and troubleshooting routers, switches, WAPs, servers, and other IT/network hardware.
\n
• Basic understanding of circuits, demarcation points, circuit extensions, and connectivity troubleshooting.
\n
• Familiarity with structured cabling standards and the ability to pull and terminate cabling.
\n
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
\n
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
\n
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and customer service skills.
\n
• Ability to work independently and travel extensively, including assignments several hours from home.
\n
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
