Resident Assistant
The Orchards is currently seeking a Resident Assistant to join our team.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Resident Assistant to join our assisted living team. The Resident Assistant plays a key role in supporting residents with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being while promoting a respectful and caring environment.
Responsibilities:

Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.

Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.

Monitor and report changes in residents’ health or behavior to nursing staff.

Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.

Help maintain a clean and safe living environment.

Support residents in participating in recreational and social activities.

Follow care plans and facility policies to ensure quality care.

Document care and services provided accurately and timely.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Previous experience in caregiving or assisted living preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
-
Ability to handle physical aspects of caregiving, including lifting and assisting residents.
-
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
