Job Title: RN - PICU

Job Summary:
Provides specialized critical care nursing to pediatric patients with serious or life-threatening medical and surgical conditions. Continuously monitors patients, manages complex treatments and therapies, and collaborates with the multidisciplinary pediatric critical care team.

Education & Experience:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.

• 1–2 years of PICU, pediatric critical care, or acute care nursing experience preferred.

• Experience caring for critically ill children and managing complex pediatric conditions is preferred.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.

• BLS certification required.

• PALS certification required.

• ACLS certification preferred or required based on facility requirements.

• CCRN-Pediatric certification preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive assessments and continuously monitor pediatric patients for changes in condition.

• Manage medications, IV therapies, blood products, ventilators, and other critical care treatments.

• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, respiratory status, and other critical parameters.

• Recognize and respond promptly to pediatric emergencies and changes in patient condition.

• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.

• Provide age-appropriate education and support to patients and families.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow infection control, patient safety, and critical care standards.
