Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Columbus, OH (onsite)
Contract Duration: until 09/14/2027
Working hours - 6:30am - 3pm
Description:
The Pilot Plant Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement of pilot plant processing and packaging equipment. This position supports product development, scale-up activities, and manufacturing operations by ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and compliance with food industry standards. The mechanic performs both preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of food processing systems and utility equipment while minimizing downtime and maintaining operational efficiency.
Maintain and repair food processing equipment including:
- Retorts
- Aseptic sterilizers
- Homogenizers
- High-shear mixers
- Processing vessels and tanks
- Heat exchangers
- Pumps and piping systems
- Conveyors
- Filling and packaging systems
- Support equipment startups, changeovers, and commissioning activities.
