DESCRIPTION

The Electronics Manufacturing Technician is responsible for assembling and configuring all components of an electronic security system in preparation for a full-system factory test, and ultimately, final installation.


RESPONSIBILITIES

· Read and interpret plans, schematics, specifications, wiring diagrams, and functional block diagrams

· Partner with the engineer and programmer for each project to ensure equipment is assembled in accordance with the contract requirements and project documentation for each project.

· Assemble all electronic components in racks, enclosures, or free-standing equipment for each project.

· Properly store and track all equipment delivered for each project.

· Label all electronics components for each project, including HMI stations, CPUs, racks, wires, and any other equipment.

· Complete test sheets and oversee factory testing of all points and systems.

· Troubleshoot issues as needed.

· Participate in, and assist with, the Factory Acceptance Test.

· Participate in project meetings and team huddles, as needed.

· Safely pack up project equipment for shipment or storage after project build is complete.

· Document all equipment assemblies, pallets, bundles, boxes, and other shipment components with photographs and detailed packing lists prior to shipment, and maintain organized records within the appropriate project folder.

· Ensure tools and equipment are in proper working condition and maintain associated tool inventory.

· Assist with maintaining the shop consumable inventory by following standard material request procedures.

· Travel to project sites to support as needed.

· Perform basic office duties, including typing, copying, emailing, etc.

· Communicate regularly and effectively as appropriate.

· Maintain the standards, culture, and values of CML Security.

· Perform other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

· High school diploma or GED preferred.

· 3 Years of related experience preferred.

· Strong skills in MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

· Hand Tool use experience preferred.

· OSHA-10 Certification.


WORK ENVIRONMENT & CONDITIONS

· This role works in an office/shop and active construction job site environment with frequent interaction with Project Management, Engineering, Programming, and IP Video teams.

· Job site visits may include exposure to active construction conditions, moving equipment, noise, dust, uneven walking surfaces, ladders, stairs, outdoor weather conditions, secured or detention/correctional environments, and other site-specific conditions.

· Physical demands may include prolonged periods of standing and walking.

· This role is expected to follow all company, client, OSHA, and site-specific safety requirements, including required reporting and the use of required personal protective equipment.

· This role includes travel to various project sites as needed and may require work outside of normal business hours based on project needs, deadlines, inspections, meetings, or field conditions.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform hands-on shop work as needed.
