This is an 8-week contract engagement for an experienced IT Technician to support a high-volume workplace technology initiative across multiple South Florida office locations. The selected technician will be responsible for hands-on workspace setups, equipment moves, end-user support, and a variety of IT operations tasks. The role requires a self-starter who can work independently, manage priorities across sites, and deliver white-glove support — including to C-suite executives. The ideal candidate brings a professional demeanor, technical depth, and the flexibility to adapt as project priorities evolve across locations and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Workspace & Hardware
● Plan and execute workspace moves, additions, and changes (MACs) including full workstation setup and decommission
● Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, monitors, docking stations, peripherals, and printers
● Perform PXE boot imaging and OS deployments using SCCM/MECM
● Manage hardware asset lifecycle: receiving, tagging, inventory tracking, and disposal coordination
● Support video conferencing equipment setup, configuration, and troubleshooting (e.g., Teams Rooms, cameras, displays, audio devices)
Software & Systems
● Install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications on Windows endpoints
● Utilize Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) for software pushes, patch management, and device management tasks
● Deploy and manage applications via Software Center
● Support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments including user access and basic session troubleshooting
● Assist with Microsoft 365 (M365) application support, license assignments, and account configurations
Security & Identity
● Enroll and troubleshoot Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for end users across corporate systems
● Support identity and access management tasks in coordination with the security team
Networking
● Perform basic networking tasks including cable runs, patch panel connections, switch port assignments, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting
● Coordinate with the network team for VLAN, DNS, and connectivity issues
End-User & Executive Support
● Provide responsive, professional IT support to end users across all levels of the organization
● Deliver white-glove, high-priority support to C-suite and senior leadership
● Create, update, and resolve IT tickets using ServiceNow (ITSM platform)
● Document resolutions and maintain accurate records of all work performed
Required Skills & Qualifications
● 2+ years of hands-on IT technician or field support experience
● Proficiency with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM) for imaging and software deployment
● Experience with PXE boot and OS imaging/deployment processes
● Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.)
● Familiarity with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or similar VDI environments
● Experience supporting Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) enrollments and troubleshooting
● Hands-on experience with ServiceNow or comparable ITSM ticketing platforms
● Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, patching)
● Demonstrated ability to support executive-level users with professionalism and discretion
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills
● Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills
● Experience with video conferencing systems (Microsoft Teams Rooms, Logitech, Poly, Cisco Webex hardware)
● Familiarity with Software Center for self-service application deployment
● Knowledge of Active Directory (AD) and Azure Active Directory (AAD) for user and device management
● CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications (e.g., MD-102, MS-900) are a plus
● Experience supporting multi-site enterprise environments
● Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus given South Florida work locations
Physical Requirements
● Ability to lift, carry, and move IT equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
● Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and work in confined spaces (e.g., under desks, in server rooms)
● Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
● Comfortable working in active office and warehouse/staging environments
● Manual dexterity for cable management, hardware assembly, and equipment installation
Travel Expectations
● Primary work locations: Doral, FL | Miramar, FL | Fort Lauderdale, FL
● Technician must be available and willing to travel between all three South Florida sites as project needs dictate — daily inter-site travel may be required
● Possible travel to Santa Clarita, CA for a portion of the project engagement; if applicable, travel and lodging arrangements will be coordinated in advance
● A valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation are required for inter-site travel
● Mileage reimbursement will be provided by company policy
