Role Description The PJM Business Development Rep (Hybrid) is a full-time role based in Pittsburgh, PA. This team member focuses on expanding Edgecom Energy’s presence in the PJM region by identifying, qualifying, and nurturing prospects among large commercial and industrial customers. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting sales outreach, generating leads through calls, emails, and digital channels, and managing a pipeline of opportunities from initial contact to close in collaboration with sales leaders. The role involves researching target accounts, understanding their energy challenges, presenting Edgecom’s solutions, and coordinating meetings, demos, and proposals. The PJM Business Development Rep also maintains accurate CRM records, contributes to sales reporting and forecasting, and provides feedback to marketing and product teams to refine messaging and offerings.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Sales and Lead Generation skills, including prospecting, cold outreach, and pipeline management.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to tailor messaging to different stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess solid Sales and Business Development skills, including opportunity qualification, consultative selling, and relationship building.
- Experience with CRM tools, sales reporting, and basic data analysis to track activities and results.
- Knowledge of energy markets, demand response, VPPs, or industrial/commercial facilities is an asset.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing time independently.
- Post-secondary education in business, engineering, economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Comfort with a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment
