Job Summary
We are seeking seeking an experienced SAP OTC/VMS Consultant with deep expertise in SAP Vehicle Management System (VMS) and SAP Sales & Distribution (SD). This resource will support vehicle lifecycle management, vehicle sales and distribution processes, logistics integration, warranty processing, and end-to-end SAP VMS configuration within an SAP S/4HANA landscape.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience implementing and supporting SAP VMS solutions, integrating manufacturing and transportation systems, and designing scalable processes that support vehicle tracking, movement, sales, and aftersales operations.
Required Experience
• 12+ years of SAP experience
• 10+ years of hands-on SAP VMS experience
• Multiple full lifecycle SAP VMS implementations
• Strong SAP SD functional expertise
• Experience working in automotive manufacturing environments preferred
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Lifecycle Management
• Configure and maintain SAP S/4HANA SD and Vehicle Management System (VMS) solutions.
• Manage vehicle records throughout the complete lifecycle from production through delivery and ownership transfer.
• Configure VIN-based vehicle tracking and vehicle inventory processes.
Vehicle Sales & Distribution Processes
• Design and configure intercompany and intracompany vehicle sales processes.
• Support stock transfers, vehicle movements, goods receipts, shipping, returns, and trade-in scenarios.
• Configure business processes supporting vehicle order-to-cash operations.
SAP VMS Integration
• Configure VMS actions and process automation.
• Support integrations between SAP VMS and:
Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
Dealer Management Systems (DMS)
Customer and distribution portals
• Collaborate with technical teams on IDocs, BAPIs, REST/OData, and SAP integration frameworks.
Warranty & Aftersales Support
• Support vehicle warranty processing within SAP VMS.
• Partner with service and aftersales teams on recall tracking, ownership transfers, and vehicle service history management.
• Configure warranty-related business processes tied to individual vehicle records.
Business Process Design
• Gather business requirements and translate them into SAP VMS configurations.
• Lead workshops and solution design sessions with business stakeholders.
• Support testing, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization activities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with SAP SD, MM, PP, and logistics teams.
• Support vehicle manufacturing, sales, inventory, and transportation processes across the SAP landscape.
• Participate in continuous improvement and modernization initiatives utilizing SAP S/4HANA, Fiori, SAP BTP, and AIF technologies.

1. SAP SD + SAP VMS Expertise
Deep hands-on expertise in SAP Vehicle Management System.
Full lifecycle implementation experience.
Strong understanding of automotive vehicle sales and distribution processes.
2. SAP VMS Integrations
Experience integrating SAP VMS with MES, TMS, Dealer Management Systems, and other enterprise applications.
Understanding of SAP integration technologies and interface design.
3. Vehicle Transaction Processing
Configuration and support of vehicle inventory management, stock transfers, shipping, returns, goods movement, trade-ins, and warranty processes within SAP VMS.
Preferred Qualifications
• S/4HANA implementation experience.
• SAP Fiori experience.
• SAP BTP exposure.
• Automotive industry experience.
• Knowledge of warranty and aftersales business processes.
• Experience supporting manufacturing and supply chain operations.
