Pride Health is hiring Pharmacy Technician (Admixture Technicians) for an opportunity in Cincinnati, OH 45245. This role is ideal for an experienced Pharmacy Technician, particularly candidates with inpatient pharmacy and chemotherapy mixing experience.

Position Details:

• Location: Cincinnati, OH 45245
• Contract: 3 months (with possible temp-to-perm opportunity)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
• Pay Rate: $18–$23/hour

Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision of a physician or registered pharmacist, the Admixture Technician performs technical, non-judgmental medication preparation, admixture, distribution, record keeping, and inventory control. All medication preparation activities are subject to required verification by a registered pharmacist or other authorized healthcare professional.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and admix medications under appropriate supervision.
• Review medication orders for completeness, patient information, and physician authorization.
• Accurately and timely prepare medications according to established procedures and guidelines.
• Perform dosage and volume calculations, including metric and apothecary conversions.
• Maintain controlled substance records in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Safely dispose of materials used in chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy IV preparation.
• Clean and maintain medication preparation areas and hoods.
• Perform quality assurance activities, including checking medication expiration dates and maintaining required logs.
• Maintain accurate temperature, inventory, lot number, and expiration records.
• Prepare labels, complete documentation, perform basic data entry, and assist with pre-billing activities.
• Order medications and supplies as directed.
• Maintain the admixture area and pharmacy department in accordance with state regulations and USP requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Chemotherapy mixing/compounding experience.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
