Job Description
The Wellhead Field Service Technician services surface wellheads and multiple wellhead systems through scheduled maintenance, emergency callouts, inspection and repair projects, and installation and commissioning assignments. Reporting to a field supervisor, the technician works independently and as part of a multi-technician crew while traveling locally and regionally to support safe, reliable field operations.
Responsibilities
- Install and commission surface wellheads and multiple wellhead systems.
- Inspect wellhead equipment and identify service requirements.
- Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing.
- Conduct pressure testing and verify equipment integrity.
- Service and maintain valves.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and complete field repairs.
- Respond to emergency callouts and support inspection and repair projects.
- Follow worksite safety procedures and complete accurate service reports.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in wellhead field service.
- Technical diploma in mechanical, oil and gas, or a related field.
- Well control certification.
- Experience with wellhead equipment and pressure testing.
- Knowledge of valve maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Understanding of industrial safety practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
