Providing service and installation for HVAC mechanical systems and building automation systems. Working in commercial offices, light industrial, hotel & hospitality, health care and critical facility operations.Controls Technician - HVAC | $36.00 - $45.00 per hour, depending on experience Work Hours: Monday through Friday | 7:00am to 4:00 pmWhat You Will Be Doing: Under minimal supervision, complete assigned projects, programming, and commissioning and project turnover per contract obligations.Utilize programming tools, standards and procedures, and their knowledge of building systems and applications to develop program instructions for DDC controllers and front-end user interface on projects and will work alongside Project Managers and Field Technicians assigned to a project to fulfill the project requirementsProgramming will include the setup of user interface and/or browser-based systems using the Niagara FrameworkAssist with solutions to systems problems, either troubleshooting the system or advise others on how to resolve problemsAssist in performing required commissioning documentationProvide accurate information for closeout documents including redlines for as-built drawingsProvide customer or end-user training on system operationReport problems or changes to supervisor or managementPerform self-study (reading, research, and practice) to obtain technical proficiency on required products and applicationBenefits:Medical, Dental and Vison insurance 90% paid for employee and 50% paid for dependents80 Hours of vacation time accrued 6 days / 48 hours of sick time 6 Paid holidays + flex days401K with 4% matchCompany uniformTake home vehicle + gas card$75 phone reimbursement per monthWhat We Are Looking For: 2 + years of hands-on BAS/HVAC controls experienceExperience with building automation systems, troubleshooting, and working with HVAC equipment in a commercial environmentHVAC service experienceDegree (2 of 4 year) in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field - Desired Experience with Tridium Niagara Framework (Java/HTML). Niagara AX/N4 certification is a plusExperience with communications protocols used in the industry including BACnet, Lonworks and ModbusStrong computer skills, and networking/ IT fundamentalsTravel based on job and customer needs - Travel is typically regionalValid driver's license and insurable driving recordCandidates will be required to pass a background check and drug test upon being given a conditional offer of employment.
