Job Summary
We are seeking dependable and motivated Machine Operators to join our team at a metal manufacturing facility. This position involves operating production machinery used to manufacture metal components, inspecting finished parts, and maintaining a safe and efficient production environment. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery used to cut, form, stamp, punch, or process metal components.
- Load raw materials into machines and remove finished parts according to production requirements.
- Monitor machine operation to ensure consistent production output and product quality.
- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools, gauges, and visual inspection techniques to verify specifications.
- Identify defects, machine malfunctions, or production issues and report them to the appropriate personnel.
- Perform basic machine adjustments and assist with changeovers as needed.
- Follow work instructions, blueprints, and production specifications.
- Maintain accurate production counts and complete required quality and production documentation.
- Keep workstations clean and organized while following established safety procedures.
- Work with team members, supervisors, and maintenance personnel to resolve production issues and minimize downtime.
- Meet production goals while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience working with metal products or production equipment is a plus.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and basic measurements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
- Ability to identify defects and communicate production concerns.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new equipment and manufacturing processes.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required by the position.
- Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to work around manufacturing machinery, noise, and metal materials while following required safety procedures.
