Work Environment\n

This role is predominantly remote, which accommodates the diverse needs of our clients while fostering a balanced work-life dynamic for our team members. Our outpatient office operates with a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to best meet patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your essential duties will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to effectively evaluate patients’ trauma histories and tailor appropriate treatment plans.

  • Designing and implementing individualized treatment approaches that center on recovery, resilience-building, and empowerment.
  • \n

  • Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
  • \n

  • Leading both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering an environment where patients can process their trauma experiences and develop effective coping mechanisms.
  • \n

  • Working in partnership with psychiatrists and treatment teams to ensure comprehensive, integrated care for all patients.
  • \n

  • Providing crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, responding effectively and compassionately.
  • \n

  • Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and resources available for further support.
  • \n

  • Maintaining accurate records while adhering to legal and ethical standards set forth in mental health practices.

  • Engaging in ongoing professional development opportunities and case consultations to enhance trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary client focus encompasses individuals dealing with the lasting impacts of trauma. You will be directly involved with patients who present a spectrum of psychological challenges stemming from various traumatic experiences, including but not limited to sexual abuse, domestic violence, and war-related trauma. Your clinical work is pivotal in aiding patients to navigate their path toward healing and resilience.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, you should possess the following:

  • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the State of Pennsylvania.
  • \n

  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience providing mental health counseling services.
  • \n

  • Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and effective trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • \n

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach towards clients.
  • \n

  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant technology.
  • \n

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, applicants with the following qualifications will be given preference:

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
