Job DescriptionProduction Worker Location: Grand Rapids, MI Shift: 1st shift 5:15AM – 4:00PM Pay: $17.00 per hour Job Summary The Production Worker is responsible for operating robotic welding equipment to manufacture automotive components while meeting safety, quality, and production standards. This role involves loading and unloading parts, monitoring automated welding processes, performing quality inspections, and ensuring machines operate efficiently throughout the shift. The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced automotive production environment. What You'll Be Doing As a Production Worker your core responsibilities will include:
- Operate robotic welding machines and automated production equipment according to established work instructions.
- Load and unload metal components into welding fixtures and machines.
- Monitor welding operations to ensure parts meet quality and production specifications.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections on completed parts and identify defects.
- Conduct basic machine troubleshooting and report equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel.
- Complete production and quality documentation accurately and timely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S and safety standards.
- Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures while meeting daily production goals.
What We're Looking For To be successful in this role, you should have the following: Qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing, machine operating, or welding experience preferred.
- Experience operating robotic welders, CNC equipment, presses, or other automated machinery is a plus.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality defects.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented automotive manufacturing environment.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed.
