Field Service Dispatch Coordinator

PublishedPublished: 6/14/2022

Job Description

Job DescriptionMake Every First Call Count

As our Field Service Dispatch Coordinator, you own the moment a customer reaches out. In those first seconds, you’ll quickly size up the request, match the ideal technician, and secure the appointment—keeping our operation humming and our customers delighted.

A Day in the Life

The phone rings. By the third ring (or sooner), you’ve warmly answered, clarified door type and urgency, and confirmed on-site contacts. You prioritize critical healthcare, education, and marquee clients, fast-track genuine emergencies, and coordinate the right expert based on location, skill, and available parts. You keep customers updated on ETAs and progress, document everything in real time, and double-check labor and materials for accuracy. Between calls, you greet visitors, route packages, and make the front desk feel effortless and friendly. You keep technicians fully booked so the schedule has no gaps.

What You’ll Do

  • Answer and triage inbound calls in under three rings; capture door type, urgency, and site contacts.
  • Prioritize tickets for healthcare, education, and marquee accounts; escalate true emergencies.
  • Schedule and dispatch technicians by geography, capability, and parts availability.
  • Communicate ETAs, status, and follow-ups to customers throughout the job.
  • Maintain real-time status updates; verify labor and materials entries.
  • Uplift the front desk vibe—welcome visitors, handle packages, support teammates.
  • Fill the calendar with a complete slate of work to prevent schedule gaps.

  • ServiceTitan (or similar field-service software) mastery—or you’re a quick study who loves software.
  • 1+ year in dispatching, scheduling, call center, or service coordination in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident, calm phone presence; excellent listening and note-taking.
  • Elite multitasking across calls, chats, screens, and radios.
  • Nice-to-have: familiarity with doors, locksmithing, access control, HVAC, or related trades.
  • High-school diploma/GED; able to pass background check & drug screen.

Rewards & Growth

  • Competitive hourly pay plus a performance bonus aligned to customer-service metrics.
  • Medical, dental, and vision on day one.
