Pat Taylor & Associates, Inc., a government contractor with more than 30 years of experience providing legal professionals to federal agencies, is seeking a Legal Assistant / Junior Paralegal to support the Office of the Chief Counsel at a prominent federal agency in downtown Washington, DC. We have proudly supported this agency for over a decade.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with 1–2 years of legal assistant or paralegal experience who is looking to gain valuable federal legal experience in a professional, fast-paced environment.

Position Details

- Full-time, Monday–Friday
- 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- On-site in Northwest Washington, DC
- Long-term contract (approximately 9 months - 1 year, option for further extension
- Candidates should be able to commit to the full assignment

Responsibilities
\n
This position combines legal support with administrative responsibilities in support of a team of attorneys. Duties include:

- \n
- Draft, prepare, and edit legal correspondence and documents
- Organize and maintain electronic and paper case files
- Maintain and update electronic case tracking systems
- Assist with legal research and document review
- Coordinate meetings, hearings, depositions, and attorney calendars
- Prepare case materials and assist with trial preparation
- Organize large volumes of legal documents and records
- Perform data entry and database management
- Answer phones and provide general administrative support
- Collaborate with attorneys and other agency personnel on a variety of legal matters

Qualifications
\n
- \n
- 1–2 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal (litigation experience preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Experience working with electronic document management or case management systems is preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a professional office environment
- Experience with litigation support, legal research, or document review is a plus
