Be the dedicated MV design engineer at a fast-growing switchgear manufacturer, owning the design of a product line that's being built in-house at a brand-new Baltimore plant.

\n
About the Company:
\n
We're working with a fast-growing, private equity-backed manufacturer with three business units spanning power generation and critical power, aerospace and defense, and warehouse automation. Its power division designs and builds medium- and low-voltage switchgear and power distribution units (PDUs) for data centers and other mission-critical applications.
\n
\n
The Role:
\n
This is a hands-on design role for an engineer who has designed MV switchgear and wants to own it end to end. You'll be the dedicated MV design engineer, working directly alongside the production floor so your designs become finished equipment quickly. Products include PDUs, UL891, UL508A, and LV/MV switchgear.
\n
\n
You'll also help set the design standards, drawing templates and processes the team uses as it grows. This is not an applications, sales or customer-facing position.

What you bring:
\n
- \n
- Hands-on design experience with MV switchgear at a manufacturer
- A degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in 3D/2D CAD such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo or AutoCAD Electrical
- Comfort working closely with production, assembly and quality teams
- Ability to commute regularly to Baltimore, MD

Nice to have:

- Data center or critical power experience
- LV switchgear or switchboard design (UL 891 / UL 1558)
- Arc-resistant switchgear experience
- Experience setting up drawing standards or PDM system
