About the role
Holland Sharpe is adding an experienced Industrial Process Piping Fitter to our project teams supporting field work in the Clarksville, TN and Hopkinsville, KY area. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced industrial setting, turning engineered plans into precise, reliable piping systems.
A day in the field
You arrive on site, review the day’s scope, and walk down the line with the team. With isometric drawings and piping layouts in hand, you verify measurements, mark your cuts, and prep components. By mid-morning, you’re fitting valves, flanges, and pipe spools—ensuring every piece is aligned, level, and ready for welding. After lunch, you and the pipe welders coordinate final fit-up, double-check tolerances, and button up another section—safe, accurate, and on schedule.
What you’ll do
- Measure, cut, fit, and assemble piping systems to project specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, schematics, and detailed piping layouts
- Perform accurate layout, measurements, and precision fit-up prior to welding or final install
- Install industrial piping, valves, flanges, and related components across varying sizes and materials
- Align and position piping to exact tolerances before weld-out or final connection
- Utilize hand/power tools, grinders, levels, and measuring equipment with expert care
- Collaborate closely with pipe welders and other skilled trades to hit milestones
- Follow all project-specific safety procedures and jobsite requirements
- Maintain high standards for quality, accuracy, and workmanship in a field environment
What you bring
- Minimum 5 years of professional pipefitting experience
- Strong industrial background; dependable and comfortable in active project environments
- Proficiency with layout, measurement tools, and safe tool operation
