Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest activity and entry points using hand tools and specialized equipment
- Apply material agents safely and accurately following pesticide management protocols and material handling guidelines
- Implement integrated pest management (IPM) techniques to control pests while minimizing environmental impact
- Utilize ladder safety procedures and confined space entry safety procedures when working in hard-to-reach areas or enclosed spaces
- Educate clients on pest prevention strategies, including landscaping, lawn care, and general property maintenance
- Maintain detailed records of treatments performed, materials used, and client interactions for compliance and reporting purposes
- Operate power tools and equipment as needed for landscape or property modifications related to pest control efforts
- Drive company vehicles safely to various job sites while adhering to all traffic laws and safety standards
- Follow respiratory protection protocols during material applications to ensure personal safety and compliance with health regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in pest control or related fields such as agriculture, landscaping, or farming is preferred
- Knowledge of entomology principles and pest biology to identify pests accurately and recommend effective solutions is preferred
- Familiarity with pesticide management, material agent handling, and integrated pest management techniques is preferred
- Strong understanding of ladder safety procedures, confined space entry safety procedures, and respiratory protection measures is preferred
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, equipment, and lawn care equipment efficiently and safely
- Excellent driving record with a valid driver’s license for travel between job sites
- Good physical condition with the ability to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong communication skills to explain treatment plans clearly and provide excellent customer service
