You'll collaborate closely with educators, families, and other professionals in a school setting to deliver tailored therapy services.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Pennsylvania
- Previous experience working in schools or with school-aged children preferred
- Competence in evaluating students’ needs and creating individualized intervention plans
- Familiarity with IEP processes and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Flexibility and adaptability in changing classroom environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ motor skills, sensory integration, and functional abilities relevant to academic performance
- Develop and implement therapy plans based on evaluation findings and student goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute occupational therapy goals/objectives
- Deliver individual and small group therapy sessions within school settings
- Consult and coordinate with teachers, support staff, and families to provide strategies and support for students’ occupational needs
- Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
