About the Role
The Facilities Manager will oversee the complete lifecycle of MATSYS facilities, from site identification and buildout through daily operations, optimization, and decommissioning. This is a highimpact role responsible for facility reliability, safety, compliance, and readiness to support a fastmoving, engineeringcentric environment.

You will collaborate across Operations, EHS, IT, Finance, and external partners to ensure our buildings, systems, and workspaces operate at the highest standard. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a growing organization and enjoys combining handson problem solving with strategic planning.


What Youll Do

Facilities Strategy & Lifecycle Management
Identify and evaluate new facility opportunities aligned with MATSYS growth.
Lead site selection, due diligence, and space planning.
Manage the full lifecycle of each facility: acquisition, buildout, operation, optimization, consolidation, and closure.


Leasing, Vendors & Contracting
Lead lease negotiations and manage landlord relationships.
Oversee key service contracts (HVAC, janitorial, landscaping, security, waste, etc.).
Track lease requirements, critical dates, and CAM reconciliations.


Building Systems (MEP) & Critical Environments
Oversee mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems.
Manage critical environments such as labs, server rooms, manufacturing areas, and controlledtemperature spaces.
Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs.


Utilities, Energy & Sustainability
Manage utility procurement and monitoring for energy, water, gas, and waste.
Drive sustainability initiatives and identify opportunities for efficiency improvement.


Construction, Renovations & Capital Projects
Oversee renovation projects, facility improvements, and buildouts.
Coordinate contractors, architects, engineers, and permitting.
Manage project scope, schedule, budgets, and FF&E requirements.


Operations, Safety & Compliance
Oversee daytoday building operations, repairs, and workorder management.
Maintain CMMS systems and operational KPIs.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, environmental regulations, and building codes.
Support EHS programs, emergency preparedness, and inspections.


Budgeting & Team Leadership
Develop and manage facilities operating and capital budgets.
Lead internal facilities staff and manage external contractor teams.


What You Bring
Bachelors degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of facilities management experience; 3+ years in a leadership capacity.
Experience across the full facility lifecycle site selection through operations.
Strong knowledge of MEP systems and building automation.
Experience managing leases, vendors, and capital projects.
Familiarity with CMMS and BMS systems.
Knowledge of OSHA, ADA, fire/lifesafety, and environmental compliance requirements.
Strong organizational, communication, and projectmanagement skills.


Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting laboratory, manufacturing, or missioncritical environments.
Multisite or portfolio management experience.
IFMA FMP/CFM, BOMI, PMP, or LEED certification.
Background in advanced materials, aerospace/defense, manufacturing, or technology sectors.
Experience with security systems, emergency planning, or business continuity programs.
