Plumbing/HVAC Project Lead
Location: Huntingburg, IN
Compensation: $110,000 - $150,000+ (Experience Dependent)

Due to continued growth, the company is seeking an experienced Plumbing/HVAC Project Lead to oversee field operations while remaining actively involved in installation work. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has spent years in the trade, understands mechanical systems from the ground up, and enjoys leading by example in the field.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned plumber or HVAC professional who can coordinate projects, mentor crews, maintain quality standards, and work alongside their team to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise plumbing and HVAC installation crews on commercial and industrial projects.
- Remain actively involved in field installations and daily jobsite activities.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to maintain project schedules.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and installation requirements.
- Ensure all work is completed according to company standards, safety requirements, and applicable codes.
- Train, mentor, and develop field team members.
- Monitor project progress and communicate updates to management and customers.
- Identify and resolve field issues quickly to minimize project delays.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, vendors, and other trades on site.
- Maintain a strong focus on quality workmanship, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on HVAC and/or plumbing installation experience.
- Proven experience leading crews in commercial or industrial mechanical construction environments.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, piping, and mechanical installation practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Demonstrated ability to manage field operations while maintaining a hands-on role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Preferred Experience
- Journeyman-level plumbing or HVAC experience.
- Previous experience as a Lead Installer, Foreman, Superintendent, or Project Lead.
- Experience coordinating projects valued from $500K to $10M+.
- Knowledge of commercial and industrial construction practices.
- Experience mentoring apprentices and developing field personnel.
- Familiarity with local mechanical codes and industry best practices.
