Job Description

Job Description

Berry Springs Lodge is a small, 13-room lodge offering a peaceful Smoky Mountain getaway. We’re looking for a dependable, welcoming Evening Innkeeper who enjoys helping guests and keeping the lodge comfortable and inviting.

Your primary focus will be welcoming arriving guests, assisting them throughout the afternoon and evening, and completing daily lodge tasks. You’ll work independently at times, with management available when additional assistance is needed.

What you’ll do

  • Welcome guests, complete check-in, and introduce them to the property and amenities.

  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and help with reservations using our reservation system.

  • Assist guests with requests, local recommendations, and routine concerns.

  • Keep common areas clean, tidy, and stocked.

  • Help with light laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and putting away linens.

  • Prepare and deliver in-room extras and guest amenities.

  • Coordinate with housekeeping and management about room readiness and guest needs.

  • Report maintenance issues and safety concerns promptly.

  • Complete evening tasks and leave clear notes for the next shift.

What we’re looking for

  • A friendly personality and a thoughtful approach to guest care.

  • Dependability, punctuality, and consistent follow-through.

  • Clear communication in person and over the phone.

  • Comfort working independently and prioritizing when several guests need help.

  • Attention to detail and pride in keeping spaces clean and organized.

  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn our reservation system.

  • Willingness to help with cleaning, laundry, and other daily lodge needs.

Hospitality or customer service experience is helpful, but we’re willing to train the right person.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a primary shift of 2:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m., including weekends and holidays as scheduled. We’ll discuss your regular availability and expected weekly hours during the hiring process.
