The Role As a Tree Climber, you are a critical anchor of our 2-to-4-person production crews. You will perform safe, high-quality tree removals, structural pruning, and plant preservation services. In addition to technical aerial work, you will help lead site safety, manage equipment, direct Groundsman Operations Specialists, and serve as a professional representative of Joshua Tree Experts on job sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety & Execution: Maintain strict adherence to company safety policies and ANSI tree care standards. Safely execute tree climbing, rigging, and aerial lift operations.
- Crew Leadership: Delegate daily tasks to Groundsman Operations Specialists while working closely with the Crew Leader to ensure efficient workflow.
- Equipment Care: Inspect, operate, and maintain assigned vehicles, power equipment, and climbing gear.
- Professional Communication: Represent the brand professionally on site, communicating clearly with team members, property owners, and the public.
Qualifications & Requirements Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience: 4+ years of professional tree climbing and aerial work experience.
- Skills: Proficient in tree rigging, pruning techniques, and aerial lift operation.
- Education & Credentials: High school diploma or GED equivalent; valid driver's license.
- Availability: Reliable, full-time commitment (minimum 40 hours per week).
Preferred Qualifications:
- ISA Certified Arborist credential.
