This is a full-time contract position, covering a medical leave through approximately the winter break, with potential to support compensatory services upon the regular SLP’s return. Based at a single school site near Denver, you’ll be welcomed into a collaborative environment focused on student growth and support.
Responsibilities include managing a varied caseload of around 40 elementary students, with some PreK involvement. Caseload ranges from mild to moderate needs, providing the opportunity to deliver both the consistency and creativity essential for effective school-based speech therapy. You’ll be the point SLP for the site during the assignment, taking the lead on evaluations, IEP meetings, direct therapy, and ongoing communication with parents and staff.
Ideal candidates bring the following qualifications:
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is required
- Prior experience working within a school setting, preferably with elementary and early childhood populations
- Skilled at managing mild to moderate caseloads and adapting therapy plans as needed
- Confident in IEP documentation, data collection, and teaming with educational staff
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable serving as the primary SLP with minimal onboarding
