Road Scholar is seeking a skilled and reliable Tractor or Trailer Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing trailers to ensure they meet safety and operational standards. This role is essential to keeping our fleet running efficiently and safely across the roadways.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on trailers, including brakes, suspension, electrical systems, and structural components.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and execute timely repairs.
- Conduct DOT inspections and ensure all trailers comply with federal and state regulations.
- Replace or repair tires, lights, wiring, and other trailer components.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and parts used.
- Collaborate with drivers and dispatch to identify and resolve trailer-related issues.
- Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
