Direct Counsel has partnered with a rapidly growing law firm in the Los Angeles area, considered a powerhouse in the field of plaintiff's side wage-and-hour class action litigation, seeks a highly-qualified legal executive to join its expanding team. Focusing on the prosecution of consumer and employment class and representative actions, involving wage-and-hour, unfair business practice, discrimination, and false advertising matters. The firm was recently named a Global Recognition Awards “Best Workplaces” winner for 2026.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the legal assistant and paralegal teams, ensuring efficient, high-quality support across all active litigation matters.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate legal assistants and paralegals, providing guidance on performance, workload distribution, and professional development.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to standardize legal support functions and case workflows firmwide.
  • Partner with attorneys to ensure legal support staff are properly staffed and aligned with case deadlines, court requirements, and discovery demands.
  • Monitor case management systems and legal support workflows to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of filings and discovery.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency, technology use, and training within the legal support department.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Legal Operations Manager, Director of Legal Operations, or similar role.
  • Experience helping to grow and scale a plaintiff’s litigation practice
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of legal operations, technology, and process improvement, preferably within wage-and-hour or class action litigation.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with legal technology and case management software, such as Litify or similar industry-standard platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Legal Studies, or a related field.

Pay: $145,000-$175,000 per year
