We’re hiring a seasoned AI Engineer for a long-term contract with a confidential top-tier client. This principal-level role is for a technical leader who stays hands-on with code while setting the AI direction for the organization. You’ll own the enterprise AI architecture, lead high-impact AI transformations, and act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership.

Responsibilities

- Define and own the enterprise-wide AI technical architecture
- Lead complex, high-impact AI transformation initiatives from strategy through execution
- Serve as a trusted AI/ML subject matter expert to executive leadership
- Establish governance and ethical AI frameworks
- Set long-term technical standards and best practices for AI development at scale
- Design and oversee scalable, distributed AI systems
- Write and review production-grade code as part of your technical leadership
- Mentor senior engineers and develop future technical leaders
- Anticipate industry trends and guide strategic investment in emerging AI technologies
- Partner with architecture, data, cloud, and business teams to align AI strategy with organizational goals

Qualifications
\n
- \n
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 15+ years of experience in software engineering
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in applied AI/ML, building and deploying models in production
- 2+ years of experience with GenAI/LLMs (agents, RAG, tool calling, or similar)
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Proven experience designing scalable, distributed AI systems
- Recognized AI/ML expertise with enterprise-scale impact
- Extensive experience in system architecture, cloud platforms, and data ecosystems
- Strong leadership and strategic communication skills
