A large distributor is looking to add a dedicated and experienced Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair a fleet of diesel-powered vehicles in the Southwest Houston area. This is a 2nd shift and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel mechanics.

WORK SCHEDULE IS 2:00PM - 10:30 PM (Sunday-Thursday)

Responsibilities:

· Diagnose and repair mechanical problems in diesel trucks.

· Perform regular maintenance tasks on diesel-powered delivery trucks and other fleet vehicles, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.

· Communicate effectively with team members and management to provide updates on repair status.

· Overhaul or replace worn or damaged parts using precision instruments, as well as power tools.

· Read blueprints/wiring diagram to determine location, size, capacity, and type of components needed to execute repairs.

Requirements:

· +2 years of related mechanical experience.

· High School Diploma or GED.

· Completion of a formal diesel mechanic training program or vocational school is preferred.

· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins.

· Bilingual is a plus.
