The AP Clerk plays a vital role within the finance department, managing the accounts payable processes to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices. This position involves regular communication with vendors, meticulous data entry, and compliance monitoring to maintain accurate financial records. The AP Clerk uses a combination of tools and systems to support efficient payment processing and reconciliation under a flexible work schedule aligned with standard business hours.
Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices and payments accurately
- Manage vendor relationships through regular communication
- Enter data into accounting systems and maintain records
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and submit expense reports in compliance with company policies
- Monitor compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
- Verify account details and ensure accurate reporting
- Generate and review financial reports related to accounts payable
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in accounts payable
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency with accounts payable processes and data entry
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- Effective communication skills for vendor and internal interactions
- Problem-solving abilities to address discrepancies and issues
