Position Overview

The Scheduling Coordinator manages the flow of the day by handling patient communication, organizing the schedule, and supporting both the administrative and clinical teams. This role is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, enjoys multitasking, and takes pride in creating a positive experience for every patient who walks through the door.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients with warmth and professionalism, creating a welcoming first impression

  • Manage the daily schedule to ensure efficiency and productivity for the dental team

  • Answer phones, respond to messages, and coordinate patient communication

  • Schedule and confirm appointments, including hygiene and treatment visits

  • Verify insurance benefits and assist patients with basic insurance questions

  • Collect and post payments, provide treatment estimates, and discuss financial arrangements

  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed

  • Assist with recall and reactivation to keep the schedule full

  • Coordinate referrals, pre‑authorizations, and documentation when needed

  • Support the team with general administrative tasks to keep the office running smoothly

Qualifications

  • Prior dental or medical front office experience preferred

  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor

  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment

  • Comfort with computers, scheduling software, and digital communication
