Role Description The Member Experience Specialist is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Chicago Area. This role focuses on greeting members and guests, answering questions about memberships and services, and providing friendly, knowledgeable support throughout the facility. Daily responsibilities include checking members in, assisting with account updates, handling payments and membership changes, and responding to inquiries in person, by phone, or through digital channels. The Member Experience Specialist also helps ensure a clean, organized front desk and lobby area, supports onboarding of new members, promotes classes and programs, and collaborates with team members to resolve issues quickly. This position plays a key role in delivering a consistent, positive experience that reflects VASA FITNESS’s community-focused culture.

- Strong customer service and member support skills, with the ability to create welcoming, positive interactions.
- Effective communication skills, including clear verbal communication, active listening, and basic written communication for emails and messages.
- Basic sales and service orientation, with comfort discussing membership options, amenities, and promotional offerings.
- Organizational and multitasking abilities, including managing front desk responsibilities, scheduling, and member requests efficiently.
- Comfort using computers and membership systems, including data entry, payment processing, and account management tools.
- Ability to work on-site in the Greater Chicago Area, including flexible schedules that may involve evenings, weekends, or holidays.
- Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to supporting an inclusive, non-discriminatory environment.
- Previous experience in fitness, hospitality, retail, or customer-facing roles is beneficial but not required; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
