Salary: $75,000 – $125,000 per year, based on experience

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Heavy Civil and Water/Wastewater Construction. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating project activities, managing schedules and budgets, ensuring quality and safety, and supporting the project team throughout the construction process.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of project work, including scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and safety procedures.
  • Organize, manage, track, and maintain project documentation, including:
    • Budgets
    • Subcontracts
    • Purchase orders
    • Plans and specifications
    • RFIs
    • Change orders/documents
    • Submittals
    • Project communications
    • As-built documents
    • Operations and maintenance manuals
    • Meeting minutes
  • Interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Monitor construction activities and understand construction processes.
  • Measure work in place and perform field observations.
  • Support quality assurance activities.
  • Develop and manage RFIs and assist with resolving project issues.
  • Identify and solve job-site problems in a practical and timely manner.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with owners, engineering firms, superintendents, subcontractors, and other project personnel.
  • Provide general support to the project team and ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Heavy Civil Construction, Water/Wastewater Construction, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred but not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to think practically and effectively resolve job-site challenges.
  • Ability to work effectively with superintendents, project personnel, owners, and engineering teams.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Familiarity with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with estimating, quantity take-offs, and pricing.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Superintendent to oversee daily field operations for heavy civil construction projects involving water treatment plants, wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, underground utilities, and related infrastructure.


The Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to project specifications and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day construction activities on water and wastewater job sites.
  • Supervise field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and equipment operations.
  • Ensure construction activities comply with project plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
  • Lead and enforce safety programs, including OSHA compliance and daily toolbox talks.
  • Develop and maintain short-term and long-term construction schedules.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Inspectors, Owners, and other project stakeholders.
  • Monitor productivity, labor hours, material deliveries, and equipment utilization.
  • Identify and resolve field issues, RFIs, change orders, and project delays.
  • Oversee the installation and construction of:
    • Concrete structures
    • Process piping
    • Pumps and mechanical equipment
    • Underground utilities
    • Water and wastewater treatment systems
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, progress logs, and other site documentation.
  • Ensure work is completed according to quality and safety standards.
  • Coordinate multiple crews and construction activities to maintain project progress.


Qualifications

  • 5–10+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Field Leader in:
    • Heavy Civil Construction
    • Water/Wastewater Infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Construction sequencing
    • Blueprint and specification reading
    • Civil and structural construction
    • Mechanical systems
  • Experience working on:
    • Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants
    • Lift Stations / Pump Stations
    • Underground Piping Systems
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors simultaneously.
  • Ability to resolve field issues and make effective decisions under pressure.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • OSHA certification is preferred.


Preferred Skills

  • Experience with construction scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Oracle Primavera.
  • Knowledge of cost control and resource planning.
  • Strong conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple construction activities and crews.
  • Strong understanding of heavy civil and water/wastewater construction processes.
