Job Description

The Admissions Registered Nurse plays an important role in welcoming new residents and supporting families throughout the transition into our care center. This position coordinates the clinical and administrative aspects of the admissions process, including reviewing referrals, completing pre-admission assessments, gathering medical information, communicating with residents and families, and ensuring that all required documentation is accurate and completed in a timely manner.

The Admissions RN works closely with nursing leadership, social services, therapy, business office staff, providers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to determine whether the facility can safely and appropriately meet each prospective resident’s needs. This individual will help develop initial care plans, coordinate admission dates and transportation needs, provide tours, explain available services and costs, and ensure that residents and families feel informed, supported, and welcomed throughout the process.

A key part of this position is developing and maintaining strong referral relationships within the community. The Admissions RN will regularly communicate with hospitals, clinics, assisted living communities, senior housing programs, rehabilitation providers, social workers, discharge planners, and other healthcare professionals to promote the services offered by our care center and identify potential admission opportunities. This position will participate in community outreach, networking activities, facility visits, presentations, and follow-up communication to strengthen partnerships, increase referrals, and support the continued growth of the facility.

We are seeking an outgoing, compassionate, and highly organized Registered Nurse who is comfortable meeting new people, building professional relationships, and representing the care center within the community. The ideal candidate will combine strong clinical judgment with excellent communication and customer service skills. This person should be able to confidently discuss our services, respond promptly to referral sources, handle sensitive conversations with residents and families, and help guide prospective residents through important healthcare decisions.

The Admissions RN must be able to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate documentation, protect resident confidentiality, and follow all applicable federal, state, and organizational requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who enjoys connecting with people, advocating for residents, developing community partnerships, and helping families find the right care and support for their loved ones.
