About US Wellness

US Wellness is a leading national provider of biometric screening and health promotion services. For more than 25 years, we have provided positive, reliable, and professional wellness services across the country. We specialize in chronic disease awareness, lifestyle coaching, biometric screenings, preventive health services, and onsite wellness events.

We are currently recruiting qualified healthcare professionals to join our growing network of PRN wellness providers for onsite events.

We are seeking professionals with experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Biometric Health Screening

- Phlebotomy/Venipuncture

- Flu Vaccination Clinics

Candidates do not need to be qualified in all three areas to apply.

About the Role

This is a PRN/as-needed contract position. Events are offered based on client needs and availability in your area, making this a great opportunity for healthcare professionals looking to supplement their current schedule with flexible event-based work.

Depending on your qualifications and the specific event, responsibilities may include biometric screenings, blood collection, vaccinations, participant registration, data entry, basic health coaching, and event setup/breakdown.

Biometric Screening Responsibilities

Biometric Screeners may be responsible for:

- Performing capillary fingerstick

- Operating the CardioChek Plus cholesterol analyzer, including pipetting

- Obtaining manual blood pressure measurements

- Measuring height, weight, BMI, and waist circumference

- Performing additional point-of-care testing as required by the event

- Providing basic health coaching and explaining screening results within the scope of the program

- Greeting and registering participants

- Accurately entering participant information and screening results using tablets/electronic systems

- Assisting with event setup and breakdown

Phlebotomy Responsibilities

- Qualified Phlebotomy professionals may be responsible for:

- Performing venipuncture and capillary blood collection

- Identifying appropriate veins for blood collection

- Using appropriate blood collection equipment and techniques

- Verifying participant identification and required documentation prior to collection

- Ensuring optimal sample quality and quantity

- Accurately labeling specimens

- Processing, packaging, and preparing specimens for shipment

- Maintaining specimen integrity throughout the collection and shipping process

- Following all quality-control, safety, infection-control, and documentation procedures

- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized collection area

Phlebotomy candidates must have proven phlebotomy experience and any license/certification required by the state in which they will be working.

Flu Vaccination Responsibilities

Qualified and licensed vaccination professionals may be responsible for:

- Administering flu vaccinations using pre-filled syringes

- Following all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations

- Reviewing appropriate participant information prior to vaccination

- Monitoring participants during the vaccination process and responding appropriately to adverse reactions

- Receiving and confirming delivery of clinic supplies

- Properly storing vaccine supplies as directed

- Managing clinic inventory

- Returning unused supplies and required documentation in a timely manner

- Setting up and breaking down the vaccination clinic

Flu vaccination roles may be available to appropriately licensed RNs, LPNs/LVNs, NPs, Pharmacists, and other professionals permitted to administer vaccinations in the applicable state.

General Expectations

All US Wellness event staff are expected to:

- Be comfortable working in a PRN/as-needed role

- Provide excellent customer service and help participants feel comfortable

- Maintain professionalism and punctuality

- Follow client-specific and US Wellness protocols exactly as trained

- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA/HITECH guidelines

- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and quality control

- Communicate effectively with participants, onsite staff, and US Wellness team members

- Work efficiently in fast-paced event environments

- Be comfortable using computers, tablets, and internet-based applications

- Have reliable transportation

- Assist with event setup and breakdown as needed

- Follow all applicable safety and infection-control procedures

Qualifications

Qualifications vary based on the type of event and role. Candidates should possess applicable experience and/or active credentials in areas such as:

- Biometric health screening

- Capillary fingerstick testing

- Manual blood pressure

- Phlebotomy/venipuncture

- Vaccination administration

- Point-of-care testing
