Duties &amp; Responsibilities:

 JOB DESCRIPTION The Child Wrangler is expected to perform each and every duty and obligation with due diligence and to the best of their knowledge, skill, judgment, and ability. The title Kid Wrangler or Child Wrangler is the term used by Actors Equity Association. As required by AEA we must have a dedicated supervisor for all minors in a production. At the Saugatuck Center we typically refer to this role as the Young Actor Supervisor or Young Actor Liaison as it is more palatable to both the kids and parents. Stage management tries to only refer to the minors on a show as Young Actors. On paperwork you may see (YA) indicated and that is just a reminder to us that the individual in question is a young actor / minor.
 The Child Wrangler opportunities, duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 Liaison between the theater and the parents of our child actors. Communicating schedule information, translating theater terminology, keeping all parties informed about the safety, health and wellbeing of each child actor, keeping both parties informed regarding behavioral issues, and keeping both parties updates about lateness or absences. Timely attendance at all rehearsals the child actors are called for Meeting with theater personnel, the Producer, the Board of Directors and/or others as designated by the Artistic Director

Job purpose
The Lead Electrician is an IATSE position in the Backstage Department and reports to the Supervising Stagehand. The Lead Electrician is responsible assisting the implementation (Load In, Maintenance and Strike) of Theatre Company productions as specified by Technical Direction, as well as, the successful running of assigned performances. The Backstage Department also provides support to ancillary projects as needed throughout the Center. Job Duties
The Lead Electrician will work closely with designers, directors, stage managers, stagehands, and actors while maintaining the Denver Center’s core values of integrity, inclusivity and collaboration. The Lead Electrician must be able to commit to a standard production schedule consisting of: daytime, evenings and weekends, and a combination of both. Performance schedules vary from 6 to 9 shows per week on our mainstages and can vary greatly in our off-site and experimental work. Production assignments are dependent upon the Theatre Company’s seasonal calendar and will change from year to year.
• Participate in and encourage a safe, healthy and inclusive working atmosphere. Support, enforce and recommend improvement to DCPA policies and procedures.

Skills &amp; Qualifications
An ideal candidate will fulfill most of these qualifications:
• Reading and understanding technical drawings.
• An understanding of theatrical lighting and projection equipment including lighting fixtures, dimmers, and control systems.
• Load-in of electrics and electrical effects for productions.
• Working knowledge of the optical capabilities of lenses and reflectors.
• Knowledge of basic electricity and stage lighting skills that relate to the implementation of theatrical effects. 
• Knowledge, ability and experience in the hanging, rigging, and focusing of theatrical lighting and projection equipment.
• Perform work required for the technical rehearsals and performance of a production, including: Console Programming and Troubleshooting.
• Maintain the “look” of a play during its run, including system maintenance, channel check. Insuring that all elements remain visually consistent with the design and safe for use by the actors.
• Experience in the repair of lighting fixtures
• Computer skills that relate to lighting systems and controllers.
• The ability to recognize and repeat lighting choices (focus, color, and cueing) throughout the duration of a production run.
• Has experience with theatre production in general, rigging and run crew in specific, and familiarity with the most up-to-date technology and equipment being used in the industry.

Working Conditions
The Lead Electrician is a dynamic position that requires working in a variety of different environments which may include: wood shop, traditional theatre space (onstage, in house, backstage and in technical areas such as grids), and off-site or non-traditional theatre spaces. Position requires a flexible schedule, including periodic long hours, irregular hours, and nights, weekends and holidays as required. The Lead Electrician may be asked to work at heights up to 70’, must be able to work from ladders, drive a vehicle, lift up to 80 lbs. and use industrial tools. 
 
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is constantly required to see, talk, or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. Position Summary: 
Texas’ Lower Rio Grande Valley (RGV) is an ecological convergence of coastal, desert, and tropical influences amidst a vibrant frontera community of more than 2.5 million residents on the US-Mexico border. The Valley’s native subtropical thornforests are one of the most biodiverse terrestrial ecosystems in North America with over 300 butterfly species recorded within the 4-county area (for reference this is 60% of the total butterfly species found in the entire US) and similarly, at over 500 bird species, the region’s reputation as a hotspot for avian diversity has been widely acclaimed for generations. Unfortunately, more than 90% of this habitat has been lost in the past century to agricultural and, increasingly, urban development. To stem this loss American Forests has partnered with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) for the past 25 years to replant over 2 million seedlings on national wildlife refuge lands. However, to address the increasing number and complexity of ecosystem threats, our regional conservation focus has evolved to include coalition-building with the establishment of the Thornforest Conservation Partnership (TCP) in 2019, development of a climate-resilience strategy to guide thornforest habitat restoration and joint creation of the Thornforest Conservation Plan, the TCP’s science-based vision for scaling restoration in the Valley. 
American Forests’ footprint in South Texas has also recently expanded into turnkey, project-based restoration on public lands, reforestation pipeline development (e.g., seed collection from 30+ species), environmental literacy programming for underserved residents and community forest development with local governments. In consideration of the region’s unique conservation challenges, we believe that innovating at the intersection of these programmatic cornerstones will advance both ecological and community resilience in the Valley for generations to come. 
The Coordinator, RGV Nursery Operations is a full-time, permanent position that will be responsible for conducting reforestation seedling production in the Valley. This individual will advance conservation of an imperiled ecosystem through day-to-day, on-site duties at a regional nursery facility. This position will receive support and supervision from American Forests’ regional, Texas-based staff and partner guidance from USFWS staff based at the South Texas National Wildlife Refuge Complex. 
Responsibilities: 
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 
Nursery Seedling Production and Facilities Maintenance (80%) 
<ul>
<li>Alongside Manager, RGV Nursery Operations and other American Forests staff, develop a systematic workflow and division of labor aimed at producing thornforest seedling plant materials to meet annual restoration goals on national wildlife refuge lands in South Texas</li>
<li>Assist in seed germination activities, including but not limited to the use of the following techniques: paper towel, scarification and stratification</li>
<li>Perform daily seedling care activities including but not limited to: hand planting, hand watering, fertilization, hardening off, shade cloth adjustments, overhead irrigation, pruning, transplanting, seedling inventory and in-facility transport of seedling crates</li>
<li>Inventory production supplies on a continuing basis, including but not limited to: commercial germination mixes, plant bands, growing mediums, packing crates and germination aides</li>
<li>Assist in seasonal, pre-production activities including but not limited to: plant band setup, band packing and pre-watering </li>
<li>Assist in seasonal, pre-outplanting activities including but not limited to: in-facility crate mixing, loading trailer transports, trailer transport to restoration sites and setup/break-down of mixing tables at restoration sites as needed</li>
<li>Perform basic nursery facility maintenance activities including but not limited to: bench component replacements, irrigation infrastructure, herbicide application and recurrent mowing/string trimming</li>
<li>Alongside Manager, RGV Nursery Operations, coordinate seasonal contract grower seedling deliveries to in-house nursery staging facilities</li>

Qualifications: 
While we do not expect any one candidate to possess all of these qualifications, the ideal candidate will possess many of the following:

<li>Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, including: working in a plant nursery or other agricultural/forestry production environment under progressively higher levels of responsibility</li>

Working Conditions 
This position is based at the USFWS Marinoff Nursery Facility located south of Pharr, Texas and will require residence in Cameron, Hidalgo, Starr, or Willacy County. 
Normal work hours will take place from approximately 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, with the additional expectation of a rotating assignment to weekend seedling care activities as seasonally necessary. 
American Forests will provide an office space at the Marinoff Nursery for daily use. Personal vehicle use will be required with mileage reimbursement made by American Forests. Work will be performed in a combination of nursery facility (90%) and office settings (10%). The nursery facilities include both open-air sheds and outdoor areas. Exposure to hot, cold, and wet conditions is to be expected in outdoor areas. Utilization of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required to mitigate exposure to pesticides (seed/seedling treatments) and herbicides (e.g., facilities maintenance) in the nursery environment. 
Periodic travel between the nursery facility, restoration field sites and contract grower nurseries in the Valley is expected (10%). American Forests is headquartered in Washington DC. Occasional travel to Washington, DC may be required as funding permits.

National Theater Institute Program Coordinator, Eugene ONeill Theater Center
The National Theater Institute (NTI) at the Eugene ONeill Theater Center (The ONeill) is in search of a Program Coordinator for the Summer 2025 Theatermakers semester (early June - early August). This seasonal position joins NTI as the Artistic Directors right hand person. They will have an active role in supporting, planning, and executing the 2025 Theatermakers semester.
 
This is an exempt position and is expected to work 40 hours per week, including some nights and weekends. The salary for this position is a weekly stipend of $685.
 
Company Description
Founded in 1970, the National Theater Institute offers six semester-long undergraduate programs of professional training taught by industry professionals and master teachers as a way to help students springboard into their careers as actors, singers, directors, dancers, designers, playwrights, and composers.
 
The Eugene ONeill Theater Center is the countrys preeminent organization dedicated to the development of new works and new voices for the stage. From its campus in Waterford, Connecticut, the ONeill has been home to more than 1,000 new works for the stage and thousands more emerging artists.
 
The Opportunity
The NTI Program Coordinator will work directly with the NTI Artistic Director to support the successful planning and execution of Theatermakers 2025. Start date May 1, 2025 end date August 8, 2025
They must be an organized, creative, and efficient team member with a demonstrated background and strong interest in arts management, theater, and/or arts education.
They must demonstrate that they have the ability to critically think and strategically plan to support NTIs students, faculty, and staff. They also must be able to communicate effectively to not only NTI staff, but also to the remaining ONeill staff with necessary NTI information.
 
Among other responsibilities, the NTI Program Coordinator will:

<li>Work with and assist the NTI Artistic Director and staff to plan and execute Theatermakers 2025. This includes scheduling faculty, planning trips, and tracking expenses. </li>
<li>Update and distribute the student handbook to the incoming cohort and collect student forms.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Be a resource and supporting staff member to all Theatermaker students by observing performances and scene work when possible, implementing all NTI policies and procedures, and traveling with them on trips to local Connecticut theaters. </li>
<li>Build Fellows schedule and co-manage the Theatermaker Fellows to support faculty, execute travel plans, and ensure classrooms are properly prepared.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Work with ONeill staff such as the Production Manager and Company Manager to coordinate NTI needs including travel/housing and production requirements.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Manage and distribute all NTI classroom calendars ensuring each class is taught for the appropriate amount of time in the appropriate space available.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
Experience
Qualified candidates will have 2+ years of relevant professional experience in arts management. Also, they should be proficient with scheduling software (such as Propared), MS Office Suite, and Google workplace. Must exhibit a strong commitment to theater and the arts.
