At Naval Base Point Loma (NBPL), SA-TECH provides O&amp;M support for home-ported Range Support Crafts (RSC) vessels. Located on the Point Loma peninsula in the city of San Diego, NBPL is a major U.S. Navy base, housing over 70 tenant commands, including submarines, a floating dry dock, and various other military units.
 
The RSCs provide fleet training support for the Southern California Tactical Training Range (SCTTR) in the San Clemente Island Range Complex (SCIRC) W-291 area.
 
SA-TECH is seeking to hire an on-site Logistician at NBPL to participate in, and provide support, to include project planning and management, monitoring cost, schedule and progress.
 
Specific duties include (but are not limited to):
<ul>
<li>Reports to Port Captain. </li>
<li>Oversees purchasing and inventory functions and supports procurement of required parts and supplies for the RSCs. </li>
<li>Responsible for reporting and tracking all purchases and reporting any discrepancies to the Government. </li>
<li>Responsible for the accuracy of all site-specific purchasing and inventory-related documents presented to the Government. </li>
<li>Manage GFE asset inventories, maintain adequate inventory or supplies and spare parts to support scheduled operations. </li>
<li>Works directly with the Government to coordinate and plan the O&amp;M schedule for RSC-1, RSC-3, and RSC-4 and provide purchase updates for the Government-related ODC items. </li>
<li>Responsible for managing HAZMAT and HAZWASTE processes. </li>
<li>Inventory, track and oversee final disposition of excessed materials to DRMO/DLA.</li>
<li>Additional administrative duties as assigned.</li>

Work Conditions:

<li>Work is performed in a fast-paced military office environment in enclosed buildings and will require sitting, reaching and standing and other office-type physical activity.</li>
<li>Will spend much of the time at a computer.</li>

Requirements:
Education/Experience/Skills

<li>High School Diploma or GED required (preferred Master's degree in Business Management or Engineering).</li>
<li>Prior experience as Supply Technician, Purchaser, and/or Logistician is required.</li>
<li>Prior military experience desired.</li>
<li>A minimum of five (5) years of experience working with and navigating FAR/DFARS Contractor requirements. </li>
<li>Current Driver’s License required; must be able to be insured through company’s vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.</li>
<li>U.S. Citizenship required and you must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to hire date and maintain a SECRET clearance throughout employment.</li>
<li>All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.</li>

Key Responsibilities

Provide Logistics support to the Spanish Navy DPM, Class desk and DAPML, all part of the NAVAIR PNMA-257 Joint Program Office Effort.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide daily logistics support to the Spanish JPO personnel.
Interfaced with ISC GULFPORT and PAX River regarding problems with deliveries and billing of routine wholesale items.
Responded to Gulfport inquiries regarding items received.
Continue to work with NAVSUP item managers to procure "critical" requirements for AOG aircraft from the GR9 inventory.
Record all MILSTRIP data expenditure information into Parts and Spares databases and provided hard copies to the budget financial manager.
Continued to liaison with NAVSUP Financials Division.
Interface with OEM and Surplus Vendors to negotiate price, quantity and shipping information.
Provide purchase orders to Surplus vendors for fulfillment of material.
Interfacing with field activities and vendors to satisfy commercial invoices and close out purchase orders.
Use Navy ERP/DLA/EMALL and One-Touch Supply databases to drop material requirements via MILSTRIP format for the Spanish Navy.
Support Electronic Retrograde Management Systems.
Track input of ERMS documents in Navy ERP to ensure proper billing and credits.
Continued to provide support to the JPO office and USMC.
Liaison with the NAVSUP departments outside of the Harrier Branch logistics support when required (i.e. common avionics, F18).
Liaison with Support Equipment Division in Lakehurst to ensure AV8B peculiar SE is still supported.
Monitor hazmat shipments and ensure compliance with proper documentation to include Material Safety Data sheets (MSDS).
Prepare Material Suspense and Bulk Shipment Reports.
Oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
A High School Diploma or GED plus 23 years of experience, an Associate's degree plus 17 years, a Bachelor's degree plus 15 years or a Master's degree plus 12 years of experience is required.
Active Secret security clearance.

Job Summary

Responsibilities and Duties

Leads installation Pre-planning and conducts timely check-in with RMMCO to ensure ship installations will not be held up due to logistics issues. Prepares ILS briefs and facilitates ILS Working Group (WG) meetings. Briefs senior level Management (Assistant Program Manager in Logistics (APM-L), RMMCO, FRD-IMO, Sponsors) on developed ILS product delivery processes, statuses, and tracking tools.
