The University of Medicine and Health Sciences is a state-of-the-art medical school located on the exotic Caribbean Island of St. Kitts.&nbsp; Faculty have a unique opportunity to become involved in the growth and success of the institution, and most importantly an opportunity to educate and nurture a new generation of physicians.
Gross Anatomy is taught in the first semester and is focused on team-teaching and, as such, faculty have adequate time to engage in research and/or writing. The UMHS academic year has three semesters; therefore, teaching responsibilities occur throughout the year.&nbsp; UMHS has a state-of-the-art anatomy dissection laboratory which allows a 6/1 student to&nbsp;cadaver.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Responsibilities include:
1. Developing and providing students with approved syllabi and learning objectives. 2. Organizing, preparing, and regularly updating course content 3. Delivering effective lectures utilizing a variety of teaching techniques and state of the art &nbsp; teaching technologies. 4. Preparing and administering examinations, grading in a timely manner, and providing feedback to students. 5. Focusing on student success by being available to students during non-teaching time. 6. Serving on faculty committees. 7. Supervising students in a variety of activities, including but not limited to, problem based learning activities, and human-computer simulation.. 8. Participate in activities assigned by the department chair and/or University administration.
 Minimum qualifications:
• Passion for teaching. • Earned Ph.D. in Gross Anatomy. • Three to five years’ experience teaching in a medical program. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.
 
Course description:&nbsp;Gross and Developmental Anatomy focuses on the gross structure of organs and their function, and through clinical correlations, relates each to clinical medicine.&nbsp; An Anatomical Learning Resource Center has been established to utilize computer-based instruction, anatomical models, radiographic materials as well as supervised laboratory sessions dissecting various parts of the human body.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Students study the structure and function of all organs with some interaction with cellular structure.&nbsp; This course incorporates an understanding of how embryological processes give rise to the mature body form.&nbsp; When this course is complete, each student will have extensive knowledge of the gross anatomy and development of the entire human body as it relates clinically to the practice of medicine.
Salary and Benefits: &nbsp;The position is full time and the salary is commensurate with teaching experience and degree.&nbsp; The faculty member is provided with an excellent health care plan which covers both US and St. Kitts health care. &nbsp; Since there are three fifteen week semesters the faculty member has seven weeks’ vacation a year which comes as the last two weeks in May, August, and three weeks in December.&nbsp; Faculty are also provided an annual one week leave with expenses to attend a pre-approved professional convention. <li>Participates in securing grant/scholarship funds to support program expansion and improvement.</li>
<li>Develop programmatic effectiveness with nursing faculty and staff that includes the integration of technology, including simulation and informatics.</li>
<li>Responsible for recruiting and hiring full-time and adjunct faculty and staff.</li>
<li>Performs other duties as requested, delegated or assigned.</li>

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
&nbsp;All qualifications are required unless otherwise indicated.

The Department of Celtic Languages and Literatures, Harvard University, seeks to appoint a tenured professor. Candidates must have command of Middle and Modern Welsh. Familiarity with at least one other Celtic language is highly desirable. As a member of the library’s dynamic, collaborative Instructional Technology Services team, the librarian in this position has primary oversight for the Office of Legal Technology &amp; Instructional Services. This position leads the development and delivery of services supporting the integration of library resources into the curriculum, the curation and use of the library’s growing electronic resources collection, the use of scholarly communication technologies and services, and the undertaking of digital initiatives. Description The University of Washington Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology is seeking one (1) full-time pathologist for appointment to join our Hematopathology Division on the School of Medicine’s clinician-teacher pathway. Clinical responsibilities will include reporting of morphology for lymph nodes, tissues, bloods and marrows, as well as flow cytometry (diagnostic and minimal residual disease testing) and may include molecular diagnostic testing, hemoglobin electrophoresis and coagulation reporting, depending on the interests of the candidate.
