The Associate Dean will play a crucial role in leadership for the College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) in the years ahead. The Associate Dean collaborates with the Dean and CEPS Administrative team on planning and implementing college strategic initiatives. This includes supporting CEPS administrative leaders in equity-focused program assessment and accreditation, culturally responsive curriculum and program development, cultivation of business and community partnerships, and strategic management of course offerings and scheduling for the college. The Associate Dean also has an important role in facilitating the implementation of policies and procedures related to the college and the university. This position oversees the CEPS Director of Advising and the Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator and reports to the Dean of CEPS.&nbsp;All employees are expected to facilitate CWU’s commitment to diversity and to foster and advance inclusion in the university environment.

The Role:

The Associate Dean is a leadership partner to the Dean. Primary responsibilities include supervision, coordination and leadership for all curricular issues, general education, and graduate education; implementation of College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) courses, programs and strategic priorities; and policy coordination. The Associate Dean also serves on a variety of college and university committees and acts in the Dean's absence.&nbsp;
&nbsp;
Job Duties Support for the Dean: -&nbsp;Collaborate with the Dean on planning college strategic initiatives, participate in college fundraising, and coordinate implementation of CEPS strategic priorities. -&nbsp;Provide CEPS administrative leaders support in areas of culturally responsive curriculum development, equity-focused institutional assessment and improvement, human resource management, faculty/staff development and performance evaluations, and budget and finance. -&nbsp;Support the Dean in decision-making, information gathering, report draft preparation, meeting attendance, and follow-through on matters assigned to the chairs and interdisciplinary program directors. -&nbsp;Collaborate with the other Associate Deans. -&nbsp;Collaborate to ensure program quality and effectiveness and to promote student learning, student satisfaction, and student retention in all student populations. -&nbsp;Attend Associate Deans and Academic Affairs meetings. -&nbsp;Act in the Dean’s absence.

Academic Programs and Curricular Management: -&nbsp;Provide strategic management of general education, graduate education, and major program and course offerings, as well as new program development. -&nbsp;Assist with CurricuLog approval changes. -&nbsp;Review and approve course schedules. -&nbsp;Attend Faculty Senate Curriculum Committee meetings. -&nbsp;Support collaboration across units with graduate education and research, including grant proposals. -&nbsp;Provide consultations and advocacy for student concerns.
&nbsp;
Communications/Community/College: -&nbsp;Work closely with the Dean, the Director of Development, and the Alumni Relations Coordinator to assist in program development activities and newsletter articles. - Encourage and support business, industry, and community partnerships. -&nbsp;Assist with media relations pertaining to CEPS programs. -&nbsp;Interact with faculty, administrators, staff, students, alumni, other University constituencies, and outside agencies.

Policy Coordination and Committee Membership: -&nbsp;Represent the college on committees as assigned. -&nbsp;Work with the Dean to maintain policies and procedures related to the college and the university. -&nbsp;Approve grade changes, incompletes, independent studies, and internships consistent with university and program policies.

Supervision: -&nbsp;Oversee the supervision of the Director of Advising and the Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator. -&nbsp;Clearly define performance expectations, ensure accountability, and provide ongoing informal feedback, coaching, and mentoring. Minimum Qualifications Earned doctorate from an accredited institution in a discipline associated with programs represented in the College of Education and Professional Studies. A record of teaching effectiveness, professional leadership, and scholarship sufficient to support tenure in one of the CEPS’s academic departments. Demonstrated successful departmental or college-level administrative, leadership, and budget experience in an institution of higher education. Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of inclusion and equity issues within a residential liberal arts environment Collaborative and forward-thinking leadership style with the ability to cultivate and maintain strategic internal and external partnerships to benefit the success of students, colleagues, and initiatives. OVERVIEW&nbsp;
The Montshire Museum of Science (Norwich, VT) seeks a broadly experienced individual with strong nonprofit finance experience to serve as Director of Finance. This position serves as a member of the Montshire’s senior management team and as an advisor to the Executive Director in the areas of strategic financial planning, internal controls, compliance, and safeguarding of museum assets. This position is responsible for general, grants and capital accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, audit preparation, risk management, investment tracking and reporting, administration of employee benefit plans, and coordination of select HR processes.&nbsp;
&nbsp;
RESPONSIBILITIES&nbsp;
Primary responsibilities include maintenance of general ledger and accounts; effective coordination of billing, fund allocation and annual audit; budget and reporting; payroll; accounts; insurance and deposits. This position also oversees payroll processing and staff enrollment into health, retirement and other benefits plans; coordinates insurance processing, workers’ compensation, disability and other insurance claims; and assists with general HR processes.&nbsp;
Specific responsibilities include:&nbsp;
Strategic Financial Planning – In collaboration with the Executive Director, develops and executes long-term financial strategies to ensure the Museum’s profitability and sustainability.&nbsp;
General Accounting and Finance Operations – Maintains general ledger and accounts. Monitors operational cash flow. Ensures timely deposits into accounts. Prepares invoices for payment. Oversees billing. Processes and monitors credit card activities. Reconciles, and creates invoices and reports for active grants. Oversees and reconciles museum accounts. Ensures timely and accurate use of restricted funds, including grants and endowment funds.&nbsp;
Budgeting and Financial Forecasting – Oversees development of the Museum’s annual operating, project and capital budgets. Assists with grant budget creation. Produces financial forecasts for operations and capital needs. Updates five-year capital investment plan. Tracks income and expenses for museum operations, grant-funded and capital projects.&nbsp;
Financial Reporting – Generates monthly, quarterly and annual reports on revenue, expenses, and overall financial performance for key stakeholders.&nbsp;
Grants – Maintains SAM and grants.gov registrations. Completes contracting, insurance and certifications for new awards. Performs quarterly invoicing for active grants. Creates quarterly, annual and final financial reports for federal, state and foundation grants.&nbsp;
Audit Coordination and Support – Prepares required materials and oversees annual audit. Serves as liaison with external auditor. Facilitates annual tax return filing.&nbsp;
Payroll&nbsp;– Oversees smooth operation of payroll processing, taxes, retirement contributions, and accounting of staff time and attendance. Reconciles staff time and attendance data with grant time tracking.&nbsp;
Administration of Employee Benefits and General HR-&nbsp;

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE &amp; SKILLS REQUIREMENTS&nbsp;

Four-year college degree in finance, accounting or business administration; advanced degree (MBA) and/or certification (CPA) preferred&nbsp;
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in senior-level nonprofit finance / accounting of mid-sized organization required (minimum $2M annual budget) with strong understanding of cost control principles and GAAP, and demonstrated experience negotiating contracts, tracking investment, and creating financial reports&nbsp;
Minimum 3 years of employee benefits administration experience (including health, retirement, STD/LTD, flex accounts, FMLA, workers compensation)&nbsp;
Minimum 3 years supervisory experience of finance office and bookkeeping and/or accounting staff&nbsp;
Able to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare clear, concise, accurate, and timely financial reports, statements and projections&nbsp;
Strong computer skills, particularly:&nbsp;

Job Description
The Project Manager for the Alaska Energy Authority’s Rural Programs - Manage the planning, design, and construction of rural power systems, including diesel power plants, bulk fuel tank farms, renewable energy systems, and power distribution systems.&nbsp; Provide technical assistance and training to rural Alaska communities in order to support the safe and reliable operation and maintenance of bulk fuel tank farms, electrical power generation and distribution systems, and renewable energy systems.
We’re looking for someone who has a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field, or Project Management Certification (PMP) preferred.&nbsp; A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction, operations, and/or maintenance of power and/or bulk fuel systems. Preference will be given to those with experience managing rural Alaska projects.&nbsp; Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Alaska preferred.
