VP of Mission Advancement

Manages the delivery of all academic advising for undeclared students and leads&nbsp;the development, administration, and evaluation of advising and new cadet transition programs. Provides information, resources, and training to cadre of faculty and staff serving as academic advisors. Assists in the development of an advising curriculum and academic advisor development program. Coordinates with other mission elements to plan and schedule advising programs. Reviews and revises forms, letters, and publications focused on academic advising and the advising curriculum. Proactively works to support quality improvement in products, services, programs, and policy related to academic advising and transition to college. Serves as a curriculum expert, mentor, and source of advice and guidance for cadets seeking assistance from the Office of Student Academic Services and Academy Registrar. Performs Associate Air Officer Commanding for Academics (AAOCA) duties in accordance with the USAFA curriculum handbook and DF guidelines. Serves as primary academic advisor to cadets until they declare a major, effectively managing advisee records and providing academic advice, mentoring, and guidance regarding the USAFA curriculum, programs, requirements, and opportunities. Uses a learning-focused approach to academic advising. Effectively maintains accurate advisee records. Thoroughly evaluates and assesses cadet advising needs, makes recommendations and takes appropriate actions, and conducts follow-up to ensure those needs are met. Serves as the lead faculty advisor for a Cadet Wing Group. Initiates, directs and conducts a program of research in their field of specialization which contributes to the body of knowledge. Performs appropriate service-related functions, as required, in support of faculty academic departments and the overall educational mission. Participates in faculty governance by attending department and faculty meetings and serving, when requested, on institution-wide committees. As necessary, serves as mentor to junior faculty advisors. Effectively evaluates the integration of technology into group advising curriculum and modules. Prepares manuscripts and/or presentations containing the findings of scholarly study suitable for publication or other distribution. Pursues professional development through membership in professional societies and participation in conferences or other appropriate activities in order to maintain professional and academic currency in area of specialization. May instruct Registrar sponsored courses or courses in an academic department. Supervises Academic Advising and Transition Programs division personnel; maintains the culture, guidelines, and organizational processes for the advising division.

Chief, Academic Advising and First-Year Programs

The College of Science is seeking a Program Coordinator. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position. The Research Development Unit (RDU) within the College of Science is focused on accelerating research growth by leveraging college resources to encourage faculty to address grand societal research challenges and target funding opportunities to increase the size and number of competitive research grants in alignment with the Oregon State University’s <a href="https://leadership.oregonstate.edu/strategic-plan" target="_blank">Strategic Plan SP4.0</a>, the college’s diversity action plan, <a href="https://science.oregonstate.edu/diversity-plan" target="_blank">Embedding Equity, Access and Inclusion</a>, and the College of Science’s <a href="https://science.oregonstate.edu/our-college/strategic-plan-2015-to-2020" target="_blank">Strategic Plan.</a> The RDU designs and implements services, using an equity, access and inclusion (EAI) lens to help faculty, staff and student investigators succeed in obtaining and maintaining intramural funding within Oregon State University (OSU), and extramural funding from federal agencies and foundation grants. &nbsp; The Program Coordinator is a member of the Research Development Unit working on complex projects, collaborating with faculty, staff, and researchers across the college and university. The George Washington University Law Library seeks a qualified librarian for its Head of Legal Technology &amp; Instructional Services position to begin as early as September 15, 2023. As a member of the library’s dynamic, collaborative Instructional Technology Services team, the librarian in this position has primary oversight for the Office of Legal Technology &amp; Instructional Services. This position leads the development and delivery of services supporting the integration of library resources into the curriculum, the curation and use of the library’s growing electronic resources collection, the use of scholarly communication technologies and services, and the undertaking of digital initiatives. As the subject specialist for legal pedagogy and technology competency, this position works to improve student success by embedding the library in online teaching and learning spaces, integrating librarians into the face-to-face curriculum, and supporting faculty adoption of technologies to achieve learning outcomes.
The Law Library supports the curricular and teaching requirements of the Law School, the research and publication needs of the law faculty, and the study and research needs of the law students; and provides to the scholarly community at large access to a research collection of material about the law and its history. The Director of Nursing Clinical Support has a broad range of duties associated with the growth and development of clinical education courses in the School of Nursing, this position provides oversight, in collaboration with Continuing Education, for the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) courses, which includes plans to transition students to credit. This position also coordinates with nursing faculty and leadership to offer certifications for students enrolled in the School of Nursing.
Duties &amp; Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Provides leadership and oversight for the Certified Nursing Assistant program; including working with clinical partners to pursue scholarships and partnership opportunities</li>
<li>Collaborates with the Program Director for Continuing Education in the hiring, onboarding, training, evaluation and scheduling of instructors for CNA</li>
<li>Oversees the curriculum for CNA and special projects as needed to meet accreditation/certification standards and ensure student success</li>
<li>Arranges Prometric Testing in collaboration with the testing center at MDC Medical Campus</li>
<li>Ensures the distribution of pertinent information to students enrolled in the CNA program to transition to degree-seeking programs</li>
<li>Collaborates with funding partners, recruitment, and Program Director of CE to increase enrollment of individuals in the community into the CNA program</li>
<li>Tracks enrollment data, graduation, and certification pass rates of students seeking credentials while identifying barriers to success</li>
<li>Works with the Program Director for Continuing Education to provide CNA program support</li>
<li>Coordinates with the Department Chairs and Director of Clinical Resources to appropriately staff each clinical course utilizing adjunct faculty when appropriate and visits clinical sites to ensure adjunct faculty are working with students to meet course and agency expectation</li>

Minimum Requirements
<ul>
<li>Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from a regionally accredited institution and three (3) years of experience in nursing education; or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) and seven (7) years of experience in nursing education</li>
<li>Florida license or eligibility for a license as a registered nurse</li>
<li>Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures</li>
<li>Knowledge of Microsoft office software and specific computer programs related to area of responsibility</li>
<li>Computer fluency and database management skills in field related to Nursing Education</li>
<li>Possess excellent organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written)</li>
<li>Possess effective interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Ability to effectively present information to groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public</li>
<li>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations</li>
<li>Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community</li>

<li>Knowledge of authentication, IT services access policies, and related internal and external security considerations</li>
<li>Knowledge of encryption systems, including certificate systems</li>
<li>Advanced experience working with network security systems, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC, and network monitoring</li>
<li>Advanced knowledge in large security data set analysis &amp; management of analytics systems</li>
<li>Advanced knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems, IP data network, testing, monitoring and management</li>
<li>Strong understanding of endpoint security solutions to include File Integrity Monitoring and Data Loss Prevention</li>
<li>Knowledge of information technology trends and impact on related security procedures and processes and the current and development</li>
<li>Advanced knowledge of authentication, IT services access policies, and related internal and external security considerations</li>
<li>Experience designing secure networks, systems and application architectures Direct experience with anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls and content filtering methodologies</li>
