Job Title:Senior Compliance Specialist-Issue ManagementJob Description:
Summary
The primary responsibility of the Senior Compliance Specialist – Issue Management is to assist the Regulatory Compliance Testing Manager with root cause analysis, resolution, and validation of both first and second line identified issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Responsible for end-to-end issue management activities from issue entry in GRC platform to remediation and validation testing.</li>
<li>Communicate with the appropriate business units and assist with corrective actions and root cause determination.</li>
<li>Communicate, assist, and advise all units regarding the various state and federal compliance laws and regulations.</li>
<li>Partner with Compliance SMEs and Business Line Partners on first line identified issues.</li>
<li>Create policies and procedures as needed to document the Bank’s issue management process as it applies to the Compliance Management System as a whole.</li>
<li>Assist bank personnel with questions and inquiries related to regulatory compliance.</li>
<li>Attend seminars, workshops, and conferences on behalf of Bank to expand Compliance Department’s knowledge of new and updated compliance requirements.</li>
<li>Provide information during regulatory examinations and internal and external audits.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as necessary.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Sufficient knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate verbally and/or in writing federal and state regulatory requirements to applicable business units and individuals.</li>
<li>Needs to effectively work with Microsoft Office products and other computer software programs.</li>
<li>Organizing priorities and meeting deadlines.</li>
<li>Effective initiative and decision-making skills.</li>
<li>Advance critical thinking and root cause analysis skills.</li>
</ul>
Supervisory Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>None</li>
</ul>
Education and/or Experience:
<ul>
<li>Three to five years of related bank compliance experience.</li>
<li>Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university</li>
<li>Knowledge and experience in AML/BSA requirements, HMDA, CRA, Flood, and Consumer Protection Regulations including TILA, RESPA, Fair Lending, FCRA, SCRA, and deposit regulations, Reg E, Truth in Savings, Reserve Requirements, Deposit Insurance.</li>
</ul>
Computer and Software Skills:
<ul>
<li>Skilled in operation of a personal computer, including Microsoft Word and Excel</li>
<li>Salesforce</li>
<li>GRC tools such as Archer</li>
</ul>
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
<ul>
<li>CRCM preferred</li>
</ul>
