Position Summary
The Project Accountant supports the financial management of architectural and design projects. This role works closely with Project Managers and the Finance team to ensure accurate project setup, billing, reporting, and overall financial compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
 
Responsibilities

Ensures proper maintenance of the City's fixed assets in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and governmental accounting standards; records, tracks, and monitors all fixed assets and infrastructure of the City from acquisition or construction to disposal or retirement; maintains the general fixed asset work order system; records adjusting journal entries; prepares year-end asset reports; prepares depreciation schedules; prepares and posts journal entries to the general ledger; performs periodic physical inventory of fixed assets in accordance with the City's capitalization policy.
Performs petty cash, cash drawer, and lodgers' tax audits to ensure compliance with the City's cash handling.

Key Responsibilities

Position Summary
The Project Accountant supports the successful execution of commercial mechanical construction projects by managing project financial controls, subcontractor compliance, and cost tracking. This role partners closely with Project Executives (PXs), Project Managers (PMs), and the accounting team to ensure accurate budgeting, timely billing, and strong cost control throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Subcontractor Compliance &amp; Documentation
