<li>Prepare and process payroll for all designated employee groups on a weekly and bi-weekly basis, including wages, deductions and taxes. </li>
<li>Monitor and respond to all payroll-related email inquiries efficiently and professionally.</li>
<li>Maintain and update payroll data in Workday and other third-party systems.</li>
<li>Review, verify and audit timesheets and payroll data to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies</li>

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

<li>Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance </li>
<li>1-3 years of multi-state payroll experience required</li>
<li>Demonstrate hands on experience using the Workday database required</li>
<li>Third-party payroll vendor management preferred (ie: One Source Virtual, ADP, etc)</li>
<li>In-depth knowledge of fundamental payroll principles, including calculations, deductions and tax regulations</li>
<li>Excellent skills using all Google platforms</li>
<li>Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll accounting system.</li>
<li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.</li>

COMPENSATION 
The Payroll Specialist has a salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per annum. The range above is a good faith estimate based on the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. Job Summary: We are seeking an expert Payroll Manager. This is a very hands-on position where the right person will be involved in oversight for all aspects of the payroll department.
The Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing and supervising the weekly payroll processing function, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. This includes wages, withholding taxes, calculating wages, and maintaining accurate payroll records using an in-house payroll system. The ideal candidate will be a Payroll expert with construction industry experience.
Duties:
Payroll Processing: Leads weekly payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll including wages, benefit deductions, garnishment, taxes, and other deductions. Ensures employee allowances (per diem and expense reimbursements) are properly processed. Uploads wages, payroll taxes, and 401K filings weekly.
Termination Processing: Manages the processing of employee terminations and final paychecks and closing out employee records.
Collaboration: Responsible for collaborating with Human Resources on HR policies and procedures, best practices, and system efficiencies, seeking continuous improvement in programs, systems, and processes. Collaborate regularly with the finance department to ensure accurate recording of payroll-related transactions in the general ledger and assist with audits as needed.
Year-End Processing: Responsible for accurate year-end W-2 and ACA reporting.
