Duties Include:

<li>Oversee benefits administration and open enrollment coordination with brokers.</li>

<li>Update the employee handbook and ensure compliance with CA employment laws.</li>
<li>Supervise and develop the Recruiting &amp; Retention Coordinator, Receptionist, and Office Assistant.</li>
<li>Within 6 to 9 months:</li>
<li>Take full ownership of HRIS management, reporting dashboards, and internal compliance audits.</li>
<li>Collaborate with safety, operations, accounting, and field leadership to align people strategy with company goals.</li>
<li>Deliver training initiatives to support development and retention.</li>
<li>By the 12-month mark:</li>
<li>Own the end-to-end HR functionculture, compliance, performance, and growth.</li>
<li>Proactively drive workforce planning and risk mitigation efforts alongside executive leadership.</li>
<li>Champion a culture of inclusion, professionalism, and values-based decision-making.</li>

EDUCATION, SKILLS &amp; EXPERIENCE:
<ul>
<li>57 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in construction or field-based environments.</li>
<li>Bachelors degree in HR, Business, or related field.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of California employment law, HR best practices, and compliance.</li>
<li>HRIS experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office.</li>
<li>PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent certification preferred.</li>
<li>Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.</li>

If you’re a detail‑oriented, motivated professional who enjoys balancing recruiting tasks with administrative support, we’d love to have you on our team! CW is seeking a motivated Recruitment &amp; HR Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role blends recruiting with essential administrative support to keep our HR operations running smoothly.

<li>Post and maintain job openings across all platforms, including updating or reposting outdated postings to ensure visibility.</li>
<li>Conduct initial phone screenings to evaluate candidate qualifications and interest.</li>
<li>Follow up on background checks and ensure timely completion.</li>
<li>Request consent forms from candidates to authorize outreach to their medical providers.</li>
<li>Request disability documentation directly from employees or hiring managers.</li>
<li>Communicate with candidates and employees regarding the status of their disability documentation and provide updates as needed.</li>
<li>Contact doctors’ offices daily via phone, email, and fax to request disability documentation.</li>
<li>Prepare and generate weekly reports to identify applicants who are required to submit their disability documentation (DOD), and proactively follow up with those candidates to obtain status updates and ensure timely completion of the documentation process.</li>
<li>Attend local and national job fairs to assist with recruiting efforts and represent the organization.</li>
<li>Research upcoming job fairs, maintain the job fair tracker, and share opportunities with the HR team.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate trackers and records to support HR compliance and operational efficiency.</li>
</ul>
What You’ll Need to be Successful
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 2 years of experience providing administrative support, preferably within an HR or recruiting capacity.</li>
<li>Basic understanding of HR processes, recruitment cycles, and compliance requirements.</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.</li>
<li>Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities, recruitment needs, and administrative requirements.</li>
<li>Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment by managing multiple priorities,</li>
<li>Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently with minimal oversight.</li>
<li>Clear and professional verbal and written communication, including phone, email, and fax correspondence.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).</li>
<li>Willingness and ability to travel locally as required</li>
