POSITION SUMMARY:
The Temporary Human Resource Assistant is responsible for managing the candidate pipeline, ensuring a seamless hiring process from applicant approval through onboarding. With the help of the HR Manager, this role oversees job postings, candidate communications, background and reference checks, and coordination of health assessments and orientation schedules. Additionally, the position provides administrative support to the HR department while maintaining compliance, confidentiality, and professionalism.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Administrative Support:
<ul>
<li>Provide comprehensive administrative support, including document preparation, data entry, and maintenance of HRIS and personnel records.</li>
<li>Ensures HR files, records, and documentation comply with legal retention policies.</li>
</ul>
Recruitment and Onboarding:
<ul>
<li>Manages the candidate pipeline from approving applicants for interviews to onboarding, ensuring consistent communication with candidates at each stage. Responsibilities include contacting applicants, conducting background and reference checks, scheduling health assessments, coordinating orientation dates, and providing IT and HR Manager with a new hire list for each orientation.</li>
<li>Ensures job postings are consistently maintained and updated across BambooHR, Indeed, and the Apricot Staff Matrix, ensuring alignment and accuracy across all platforms.</li>
<li>Coordinates pre-employment screenings, including health assessments and TB tests for staff, volunteers, and board members.</li>
<li>Conducts fingerprinting background checks and tracks this information through Claris.</li>
</ul>
Employee Relations:
<ul>
<li>Respond to routine employee and applicant inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures, escalating complex matters as needed.</li>
<li>Assist with HR events, such as benefits enrollment and employee engagement activities.</li>
</ul>
Compliance and Confidentiality:
<ul>
<li>Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with HR-related laws, regulations, and agency policies.</li>
<li>Uphold the confidentiality and privacy of SEK-CAP, Inc. employees and customers.</li>
</ul>

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

<li>Must pass a standard criminal history check and background screening.</li>
<li>Ability to work full-time for the duration of the temporary position (April - September 2025).</li>
<li>Obtain CPR and First Aid Certification. (Training provided.)</li>
