 Scope of Practice for Clinical Support I (aligned with Medical Assistant) MAs work under the license of their supervising physician. <li>MA's may assist Physicians, Physicians Assistants and Nurse Practitioners with patient preparation and treatment, patient chart organization, dissemination of reports; referrals, telephone calls, inventory, ordering and general organization.</li>
<li>MA's may be required to have an authorization by the state to perform needle injections and venipunctures. MA's may be required to demonstrate knowledge and demonstrate competence in vaccine/medication administration prior to and/or ongoing in their regular assignment of duties.</li>
<li>Some states require that the medical assistants who draw blood for lab tests are certified and have passed a practical exam as part of phlebotomy training. </li>

<li>Perform cerumen management, where allowed by state professional regulations. </li>
<li>Complete required patient and clinical documentation in our proprietary electronic medical record system.</li>
<li>Responsible for applying proper coding guidelines and populating appropriate billing codes for services provided to patients.</li>
<li>Adheres to OSHA guidelines regarding patient care, disposal of materials, and sterilization of equipment.</li>

Qualifications
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Audiology background with proficiency in the assessment, treatment, management and evaluation of hearing disorders.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently on a daily basis.</li>
<li>Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.</li>
<li>Ability to use EMR, text, email, the internet and to learn other healthcare related software.</li>
<li>Self starter attitude with the desire to deliver quality, thoughtful and attentive care.</li>
</ul>

Physical Requirements for Audiologist:
<ul>
<li>Ability to stand, to bend, and to lift. </li>
<li>Ability to transport mobile audiology equipment (maximum of 15 lbs.). </li>
<li>May be occasional required to transport patients in wheelchairs.</li>
</ul>

Education &amp; Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Masters or Doctorate Degree in Audiology</li>
<li>Current State professional license.</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license.</li>
</ul>

Travel:
This is a mobile position. Daily travel is based on the patient care requirements for the specified service area; your Practice. A valid driver’s license and the ability to drive significant distances on occasion is required.
