Job Description 
The Engineer is part of our engineering team and responsible for all technical operations at the hotel.&nbsp; This individual will troubleshoot and repair electrically run motors &amp; devices, HVAC systems, carpentry projects, and plumbing projects, as well as minor automotive repairs and painting.

Qualifications

Summary of Duties of the Maintenance Technician
Community buildings and grounds are the physical representation of our commitment to the health and happiness of our residents. It is the responsibility of the Maintenance Technician to ensure the safety and upkeep of the building, equipment, and the grounds. Additional responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician include the general maintenance operations for exterior and interior of the facility which includes electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, heating and cooling, structural, grounds care, and parking area. The Maintenance Technician renders quality maintenance services which meet resident needs and services and enhance safety. The Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Director.
Essential Functions of the Maintenance Technician

<li>May be required to come to the community during “off hours” to address building emergencies to ensure the safety of the residents, associates, and the community.</li>

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience

<li>High School Diploma or GED required.</li>
<li>Minimum two to three years of experience in maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, electrical or HVAC, and repair of minor equipment.</li>
<li>The ability to speak, read, and write in English.</li>
<li>Must be able to push loaded cart and use vacuum cleaner, buffer, and carpet cleaning machines.</li>
<li>Ability to lift at least 40 pounds.</li>
<li>Must be able to relate to residents and staff in a courteous and diplomatic manner under all circumstances.</li>
<li>Must be able to work flexible hours.</li>
<li>Must be in good physical health and free of communicable disease.</li>
<li>Successful criminal background check and drug testing required.</li>
<li>Mechanical aptitude.</li>
<li>Knowledge of proper cleaning materials and their use.</li>
<li>Experience in maintenance and repair of minor equipment.</li>
<li>Must be friendly and have excellent people skills.</li>
<li>Physical requirements include bending, standing, lifting, stooping, sitting, carrying, stretching, and walking.</li>

Job Description 
he Engineer is part of our engineering team and responsible for all technical operations at the hotel.&nbsp; This individual will troubleshoot and repair electrically run motors &amp; devices, HVAC systems, carpentry projects, and plumbing projects, as well as minor automotive repairs and painting.

<li>Technical electrical motor troubleshooting and/or repair</li>
<li>H.V.A.C. and refrigeration troubleshooting and/or repair</li>
<li>Technical plumbing troubleshooting and/or repair</li>
<li>Minor Carpentry</li>
<li>Use all power tools safely, including pressure washers and compressors</li>
<li>Repairs may include gas-fired equipment repair or door lock repairs as well as repair of electronic equipment to include all office and audiovisual equipment</li>
<li>Respond to all Guest Requests quickly attentively&nbsp;</li>
<li>Respond to all emergency or life-threatening situations</li>
<li>Follow established safety procedures</li>
<li>Log and communicate all essential information in the Engineering logbook</li>
<li>Move various objects for relocation and/or access</li>
<li>Maintain complete knowledge of resort fire system, well water system, septic system, and irrigation system</li>
<li>Participate in and support hotel and company efforts towards sustainability and environmental initiatives as part of the Planet Auberge program.</li>

Qualifications

<li>High school diploma or equivalent</li>
<li>Experience serving as a technician or engineer within a hotel or property management preferred</li>
<li>Experience with power tools use and safety</li>
<li>Ability to read and follow technical instructions on assembly of mechanical equipment, furniture and warning labels</li>
<li>Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers, and management&nbsp;</li>
<li>Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record</li>
</ul>
This position starts at $24.00/hour.
