Position Description
The Department of Sociology at the University of Washington invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor specializing in the study of environmental inequality and/or climate change. Washington State Law requires that this ad list a binding salary range.&nbsp;The base salary range for this position will be $9650 - $13500&nbsp;per month on a 9-month basis ($86,850 - $121,500 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.&nbsp;
The position will begin on September 16, 2024, and is full time with a 9-month service period.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a Ph.D., or foreign equivalent, in sociology or closely related field by the start of the appointment.

Lead Information Security Administrator

PHI’s Senior Workforce Intervention Specialist works to improve job quality for direct care workers by contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of PHI’s practice-based employment and training models. As a part of PHI’s Workforce Innovations Team (WIT), they will specialize in leading engagements related to operationalizing and evaluating meaningful advancement opportunities that expand the direct care career ladder; additionally, they may support programs aimed at strengthening recruitment and retention practices, creating a coaching culture, developing adult-learner centered training, and assessing direct care job quality. Outstanding skills in critical thinking, proactive leadership, written and verbal communication, relationship building, and workforce and organizational development are essential for success in this role. &nbsp;
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul>
<li>Lead the implementation of PHI practice-based job quality interventions, including creating and maintaining work plans and timelines, managing partner relationships, executing project activities, and reporting progress to PHI’s Vice President of Workforce Innovations through verbal and written communication.</li>
<li>Build and manage relationships with numerous strategic workforce partners – including long-term care employers, payors, advocates, and others - to support collaboration and the successful integration of job quality practices.</li>
<li>Provide technical assistance and consulting to project-based partners to support program design, implementation, and evaluation; this will include intensive, hands-on support to project partners to assess and modify organizational practices in support of implementing and maintaining workplace environments conducive to high-quality direct care jobs.</li>
<li>Routinely meet programmatic deadlines and proactively communicate impediments to the Vice President of Workforce Innovations.</li>
<li>Produce high-quality project deliverables in line with PHI and WIT acceptance criteria including PowerPoint slide deck presentations, external and internal reports, project worksheets, assessment tools, workflows, and other items as needed to meet project goals.</li>
<li>Plan, facilitate, and document meetings, informational sessions, webinars and other interactions with external partners; this could include coordinating planning with WIT and other PHI staff members, sending meeting invitations and conferencing information to attendees, creating and disseminating agendas, facilitation, documenting and archiving associated notes, and establishing next steps.</li>
<li>Collaborate with WIT staff to coordinate team roles, optimize efficiency, and meet project goals.</li>

The Associate Dean will play a crucial role in leadership for the College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) in the years ahead. The Associate Dean collaborates with the Dean and CEPS Administrative team on planning and implementing college strategic initiatives. This includes supporting CEPS administrative leaders in equity-focused program assessment and accreditation, culturally responsive curriculum and program development, cultivation of business and community partnerships, and strategic management of course offerings and scheduling for the college. The Associate Dean also has an important role in facilitating the implementation of policies and procedures related to the college and the university. The George Washington University Law Library seeks a qualified librarian for its Head of Legal Technology &amp; Instructional Services position to begin as early as September 15, 2023. As a member of the library’s dynamic, collaborative Instructional Technology Services team, the librarian in this position has primary oversight for the Office of Legal Technology &amp; Instructional Services. This position leads the development and delivery of services supporting the integration of library resources into the curriculum, the curation and use of the library’s growing electronic resources collection, the use of scholarly communication technologies and services, and the undertaking of digital initiatives. As the subject specialist for legal pedagogy and technology competency, this position works to improve student success by embedding the library in online teaching and learning spaces, integrating librarians into the face-to-face curriculum, and supporting faculty adoption of technologies to achieve learning outcomes.
The Law Library supports the curricular and teaching requirements of the Law School, the research and publication needs of the law faculty, and the study and research needs of the law students; and provides to the scholarly community at large access to a research collection of material about the law and its history. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:&nbsp;

<li>Foster partnerships with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as community organizations, to promote collaboration and maximize the impact of disaster health and wellness efforts.</li>
<li>Conduct needs assessments to identify the specific disaster health and wellness challenges and priorities within different communities.</li>
<li>Analyze data and information gathered through assessments to inform the development of targeted intervention strategies and programs.</li>
<li>Collaborate with extension agents, researchers, and subject matter experts to develop comprehensive disaster health and wellness plans.</li>
<li>Provide training and capacity-building opportunities to extension agents, community leaders, and other stakeholders to enhance their knowledge and skills in disaster health and wellness.</li>
<li>Develop and deliver train-the-trainer programs to ensure the sustainability and scalability of disaster health and wellness initiatives.</li>
<li>Foster a culture of continuous learning by organizing conferences, webinars, and workshops to disseminate information and share best practices.</li>
<li>Establish evaluation frameworks and metrics to assess the effectiveness and impact of disaster health and wellness programs.</li>

OVERVIEW&nbsp;
The Montshire Museum of Science (Norwich, VT) seeks a broadly experienced individual with strong nonprofit finance experience to serve as Director of Finance. This position serves as a member of the Montshire’s senior management team and as an advisor to the Executive Director in the areas of strategic financial planning, internal controls, compliance, and safeguarding of museum assets. This position is responsible for general, grants and capital accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, audit preparation, risk management, investment tracking and reporting, administration of employee benefit plans, and coordination of select HR processes.&nbsp;

RESPONSIBILITIES&nbsp;
Primary responsibilities include maintenance of general ledger and accounts; effective coordination of billing, fund allocation and annual audit; budget and reporting; payroll; accounts; insurance and deposits. This position also oversees payroll processing and staff enrollment into health, retirement and other benefits plans; coordinates insurance processing, workers’ compensation, disability and other insurance claims; and assists with general HR processes.&nbsp;
Specific responsibilities include:&nbsp;
Strategic Financial Planning – In collaboration with the Executive Director, develops and executes long-term financial strategies to ensure the Museum’s profitability and sustainability.&nbsp;
General Accounting and Finance Operations – Maintains general ledger and accounts. Monitors operational cash flow. Ensures timely deposits into accounts. Prepares invoices for payment. Oversees billing. Processes and monitors credit card activities. Reconciles, and creates invoices and reports for active grants. Oversees and reconciles museum accounts. Ensures timely and accurate use of restricted funds, including grants and endowment funds.&nbsp;
Budgeting and Financial Forecasting – Oversees development of the Museum’s annual operating, project and capital budgets. Assists with grant budget creation. Produces financial forecasts for operations and capital needs. Updates five-year capital investment plan. Tracks income and expenses for museum operations, grant-funded and capital projects.&nbsp;
Financial Reporting – Generates monthly, quarterly and annual reports on revenue, expenses, and overall financial performance for key stakeholders.&nbsp;
Grants – Maintains SAM and grants.gov registrations. Completes contracting, insurance and certifications for new awards. Performs quarterly invoicing for active grants. Creates quarterly, annual and final financial reports for federal, state and foundation grants.&nbsp;
Audit Coordination and Support – Prepares required materials and oversees annual audit. Serves as liaison with external auditor. Facilitates annual tax return filing.&nbsp;
Payroll&nbsp;– Oversees smooth operation of payroll processing, taxes, retirement contributions, and accounting of staff time and attendance. Reconciles staff time and attendance data with grant time tracking.&nbsp;
Administration of Employee Benefits and General HR-&nbsp;

<li>Ensures new hire employment eligibility. Coordinates new hire background checks.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Oversees new hire and annual enrollments into health, retirement and other benefits.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Maintains personnel records.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Assists with insurance processing, including workers compensation, disability and other insurance claims.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ensures 403(b) compliance and annual Form 5500 filing.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Assists with employment termination and offboarding, as needed&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
Risk Management – Identifies and manages financial risks associated with business operations and investments. Serve as liaison with insurance agencies and carriers for policy updates and claim processing.&nbsp;
Investment Oversight – Monitors and reports on investment performance to Investment Committee of the Board of Trustees. Executes transactions and transfers between investment, endowment and operations accounts.&nbsp;
Staff Liaison – Serves as staff liaison to Finance and Investment Committees of the Montshire Board of Trustees. Prepares quarterly board finance and investment reports. Attends select committee and board meetings.&nbsp;
Staff Supervision and Departmental Management - Hiring, training, and overseeing staff in the finance office. Coordinates administration of internships and work study programs.&nbsp;

Supervises Finance and Grants Assistant.&nbsp;

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE &amp; SKILLS REQUIREMENTS&nbsp;
Collaborative team player with a passion for the mission of the Montshire Museum of Science&nbsp;
Four-year college degree in finance, accounting or business administration; advanced degree (MBA) and/or certification (CPA) preferred&nbsp;
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in senior-level nonprofit finance / accounting of mid-sized organization required (minimum $2M annual budget) with strong understanding of cost control principles and GAAP, and demonstrated experience negotiating contracts, tracking investment, and creating financial reports&nbsp;
Minimum 3 years of employee benefits administration experience (including health, retirement, STD/LTD, flex accounts, FMLA, workers compensation)&nbsp;
Minimum 3 years supervisory experience of finance office and bookkeeping and/or accounting staff&nbsp;
Able to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare clear, concise, accurate, and timely financial reports, statements and projections&nbsp;
Strong computer skills, particularly:&nbsp;

<li>Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel - including formatting, formulas and calculated fields)&nbsp;</li>
<li>Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar)&nbsp;</li>

TIME COMMITMENT&nbsp;
Full-time, exempt position (37.5 hours/week)&nbsp;
General work schedule is Monday to Friday 8:00 – 4:00 pm, with occasional after-hours work required to attend and prepare for meetings, staff museum-wide events, and ensure smooth annual budget and audit preparation.&nbsp;

SALARY AND BENEFITS&nbsp;
Salary: $96,000 - $105,000 annually depending on education, experience, skills, and certifications. Full Montshire benefits, including health insurance, 403(b) retirement savings, generous paid personal time and sick leave, life insurance, and short- and long-term disability insurance.&nbsp;
