<li>Identify gaps in county regarding speech pathology services and makes program recommendations to Administrative Manager, Rehab.</li>
<li>Prepare accurate documentation in accordance with state guidelines and clinic policy.</li>
<li>Teach clients proper techniques for achieving more effective communication. </li>
<li>Perform administrative duties, including case management activity and treatment planning.</li>
<li>Participate in coordination of care meetings/communication with MCHC PT/OT/SLP providers and/or other PT/OT/SLP facilities.</li>

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

<li>Masters degree in Speech Language Therapy/Communication Disorders from an accredited program that meets ASHA certification requirements is required. </li>
<li>Must have an active Speech Language Pathology license with the State of Michigan, in good standing</li>
<li>Requires an active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) through ASHA.</li>
<li>Prefer a minimum of three (3) years of SLP clinical experience in pediatrics, or clinical experience in a pediatric setting</li>
<li>CPR certification required</li>
<li>Experience developing and implementing speech-language treatment programs</li>
<li>Strong understanding of speech-related conditions, causes and treatments</li>
<li>Proficiency with computers, especially patient and healthcare databases</li>

SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing duties that include providing all types of diagnostic audiometric testing and interpretation.
 
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
<ol>
<li>Perform and interpret diagnostic testing, including but not limited to, comprehensive audiologic evaluations, impedance testing, ABR, ENG, fistula testing, OAE, CAP evaluation, ET included in impedance and Ecoch G, auditory process evaluations</li>
<li>Counsel patients regarding hearing aids; provide hearing aid evaluations and fittings</li>
<li>Order hearing aids in a timely manner and give to secretary for shipping</li>
<li>Perform in-house repair and modifications of hearing aids when possible</li>
<li>Conduct follow-up consultations and counseling</li>
<li>Advise appropriate patients on securing local, state or federal assistance for purchase of hearing aids</li>
<li>Monitor condition of equipment and call appropriate repair/maintenance personnel when necessary.</li>
<li>Monitor stock in each booth or room and replenish when low; advise Business Office personnel when supplies need to be ordered, providing detailed reorder list</li>
<li>Clean headphones, probe tips, etc., on a regular basis</li>
