ACCOUNTING CLERK JOB SUMMARY:
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing accounting support to accounting supervisors and other managers within the company. Ensures files are complete and maintained as needed, assists with A/P &amp; A/R duties, and other tasks as assigned.
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Perform accounting and clerical functions to support supervisors.</li>
<li>Research, track, and resolve accounting problems.</li>
<li>Compiles and sorts documents, such as bills and checks, substantiating business transactions.</li>
<li>Input data (invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records) into accounting system.</li>
<li>Codes data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures.</li>
<li>Assist with project and job cost reporting. </li>
<li>Audits bills against purchase orders, researches discrepancies. </li>
<li>Work in QuickBooks to support the company.</li>
<li>Generate &amp; submit internal Sales Orders.</li>
<li>Review A/P for accuracy and ensure that the proper approvals are in place.</li>
<li>Prepare checks, account statements, reports, and other records, and reviews for accuracy.</li>
<li>Processes credit cards payable and accounts payable to ensure that payments are up to date.</li>
<li>Reconciles report discrepancies and problems.</li>
<li>Assist with expense report tracking.</li>
<li>Assist with licensing compliance.</li>
<li>Prepare &amp; send invoices to customers.</li>
<li>Add, receive, and post customer payments to remitted invoices. </li>
<li>Assists employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts and services.</li>
<li>Assists with special projects as required.</li>
